Weekly Journal (September 18th) (Patreon)

My friends, it is done. The script is written. It is long and it needs to be. Though funny enough, I might delete the last paragraph because the final line in the penultimate paragraph kind of says it all. We'll see. But it's written and it feels good to be back. 

I'll be nabbing some music this week for the video, then checking to make sure I have all the footage I need. Then, I'll record the voiceover shortly after that. We're looking at this thing going live Sept 30th (29th for you). 

Since I am going to be looking for music in the video, I thought it might be fun to ask you guys for potential bangers to put in it! Specifically I'm looking for instrumental video game music that is kind of eerie, ethereal, otherworldly, haunting. All of those vibes; "dreamlike, uncertain, foreboding in a strangely comforting way", if you will. Don't be shy, let me know below, leave links, do what you've gotta do. I already know I'll be snagging a few tracks from the Signalis OST and maybe some from the Resi games because they're all very solid. But what am I missing? 

One thing to note, the sponsor for this video is hilarious for reasons that will become apparent when you're about 1/3 of the way through the video haha. I promise you'll laugh at the timing and placement. 

Oh and the backlog. I think I'll be keeping updates on that to myself for a bit. We're getting close to the video where I "finish" it, so I think it's time to stop talking about it as much so that the video will be a little mysterious 😈

Paper. Fucking. Mario. The Thousand Year Door is getting remade for switch. And just like that, I can die peacefully. After it comes out and I play it lmao. I don't talk about it much, but I adore that game. And it looks marvelous based on that trailer. Sign me the hell up for that AND for FF7 Rebirth. 2024 is going to be the year of "I'm done with the backlog, now leave me to my JRPGs."
