Well everyone, what can I say other than thank you? You've all been extremely patient with me over the past few weeks between a small meltdown and this taking forever to get finished. So I hope it is worth the wait.

Honestly, this script kind of just... happened to me. If you remember awhile back we had that poll where one option was "The Horror of Stanley Parable's Best Ending", this was supposed to be that. But the more I wrote, the more examples came to mind until I looked up and realized I had a completely different video on my hands. So I rewrote, re-titled, and it kind of transformed from this "spooky premise" script to a deeply human exploration of what time does to human connections.

I honestly don't give a damn how well this does this time around (okay maybe I give a little tiny damn) but I'm just thrilled to have made it because I've never seen a script just morph into something else entirely quite like this before. It feels like it wrote itself. And honestly, it helped me realize that this is genuinely one of my favorite forms of storytelling. I experienced a few of these stories I mention specifically in my formative years and I suppose it never occurred to me how brilliant of a trope this is.

All that said, I hope you enjoy, thank you, and let me know what you think :)

Stories That Use Time To Hurt You

Be sure to grab a discount on your Displate today! - https://displate.com/promo/daryltalksgames/?art=63fd10dfa0027 Time travel is usually used in fiction to mystify and captivate the audience by taking advantage of situations that are not possible in reality. What if you met yourself? Can the future be changed? Will multiple timelines be created? But if a narrative makes that time travel irreversible and in many ways, unwelcome… you might see something completely and totally heart wrenching that will only plant the seeds for something much more profound. Why yes, I *am* going to convince you that an Adam Sandler comedy is actually deep using anime.
