Hey I completely forgot to write this yesterday so here we are!

It's been a productive week so far, I've gotten the voiceover done for the backlog video as well as filmed a good bit of footage for it. I'll try and finish editing the voiceover today meaning I'll be actually video editing Thursday, Friday, over the weekend, and probably into next week a bit. I'll go live with the lo-fi video editing stream either sometime this weekend or early next week, though I may shoot for Saturday in an attempt to go live when more people can actually tune in :)

Outside of that, I've actually been working on my backlog a bit! I finished God of War which was absolutely sensational. Sometimes games throw some characters together, give them sad backstories, put on some sad music, and that might be enough to make you care. But this game was a masterclass in creating characters that you can't help but be deeply invested in. It was the first God of War game I've played, but there was more than enough here to help me surmise what took place in previous titles. It also helped that Atreus knew about as much as I did so it completely worked when Kratos was being cryptic. If you've played earlier titles, you probably know. If you haven't, it hits different and still works. I absolutely loved it.

I also finished a game called Detention which is from the same folks that made Devotion. A little indie horror game, super spooky, really gripping narrative that really hits once you begin to piece things together. Smaller titles like this I think will give me some momentum when I really start trying to put titles away on the backlog.

Started AI: The Somnium Files... man I really cannot figure out how I feel about these investigative style games haha. I think I like it? I'm invested in the story but MAN there is a lot of tedium to progress sometime. Like it's all dialogue, why do I need to FIND every prompt to move on to the next part, ya know? Idk, I'm having fun though. I think.

Starting The Last of Us Remastered soon! I know (and really hear me on this) not a DAMN thing about the plot of these games. Ellie is a character. There are zombies. I think. Everyone hates the second one, unless you don't. That is the extent of my TLOU knowledge. Should be fun giving this a go.

I'll be playing Somerville when it drops next week. One of the minds behind Inside and Limbo is behind it. Sign me tf up.

I'll be waiting until Santa brings me my PS5 to play God of War Ragnarok but boy howdy that's a tough wait. Sonic Frontiers, although I will be skipping it, does actually look really good from what I've seen haha. And you already know I'll be all over that Pokemon Scarlett when it drops in 2 weeks :)

Anyways, that's what I've been up to. What are you playing? Let me know below, see ya Saturday-ish, and whatever is happening in your world right now, remember to breathe!

Wendriel you really should give Dad of War a look haha, the original trilogy was understandably pretty off-putting for some, but this is such an intimate little game. Totally agree on investigative games, the amount of reiterating stuff that devs feel is necessary kills me. Makes me wonder if there is like a GMTK video that dives into how to make a good mystery game. Congrats on all of the progress in what you're playing! The more you talk about mass effect, the more I'm convinced that I'll actually get hooked once I start playing haha. That'll be interesting to see!
