The vomit thing is hilarious

Your & Vera‘s discussion about why this episode is a bit discordant with “a race through dark places” now was good… I don’t know if I’ve noticed it before other than feeling Talia had a better story in “Race” than “Soul.” Vera's righteous anger at pointing out about Garibaldi is a cop is great. Also, like you, I love Timov!

Jessie, it says so much that your idea of a “prank” is to hire a Cameo to say nice things about someone 😊. You come across as incredibly sweet and I hope this finds you better than the last few days. So, I definitely remembered Peter David writing this episode and you seriously had me questioning myself for a moment there… but I knew that ending beat with Delenn and Ivanova had to be him. I’m Vera’s age (which doesn’t have to be named) and I remember I read two of his TNG novels as a child and I remember being creeped out by how much time he spent writing about Picard being attracted to Dr. Polaski in a way that clearly felt like the author getting his own weird stuff out… and then when I read his work on Supergirl it had a lot of the same “this guy doesn’t understand young women the way he thinks” that this scene had. But, I suppose he may have much better stuff out there and if you’ve got a book or comic that might turn me around on him, I’m open to giving him another shot 😊. I will say though, I distinctly remember shortly after this episode aired reading that Delenn’s actress HATED that scene and I believe fought against it. Anyway, thanks as always for an excellent episode!
