I remember when this episode came out, there was so much discourse trying to vindicate Lyta. Like, “maybe she’s going to run her own investigation, maybe she’s trying to discover what’s really going on with this obvious creep cult leader.” …I’d actually dropped off by the time they assassinated Lenier’s character, but Lyta hurt.
