Weekly Blog Post 9/27/20 Bonus Scenes and Ardyn Recruitment (Patreon)

Hello everyone and welcome back to another Weekly Blog Post.

I'll try to make this one short since I still want to get some writing done while I have the time. 

So today I wanted to talk about 2 important Systems coming in with the Ellinia update. The first of which is Bonus Scenes!

Bonus Scenes are usually follow up scenes that will incorporate your decisions over certain NPC's in the Lovers or Corruption Routes. This is meant to reward your for choosing that particular route. This update I have about 4 planned but I might add more if I have the time for it and it works with what I'm trying to right. To show off an example I have the very first Bonus Scene of the game. This one is through Millie and activates if you choose Asuna's Lovers Route.

As you can see this gives some added meaning between interactions. What started off as a training for Millie back in Mushroomtown has now evolved Asuna into wanting to be more than just a teacher for her. At first theses interactions will be simple follow up interactions but once you the player get used to them, I'll expand them to include getting new NPC's, Items, or even Sex Scenes. There's a lot we can do here and we're excited for you to see them all!

This update will have the following Bonus Scenes

Asuna-Lovers Route

Asuna-Corruption Route

Raul- Athena's Lovers Route

Leonore- Lovers Route

As I said I might add in more but we'll see. 4 is a good start for now.

Now on top of these we are finally adding The Recruitment System to the game. This was teased back in the Henesys update where you first met The Professor. How this will work is at one point in the Ellinia storyline the Hero will find out that his current team is lacking a certain something. The first choice is given to you and the reward is a way to progress the Story but also a way to summon this particular NPC. 

This update will allow you to Recruit 3 NPC's (Really it's only 2 since the 1st is a part of the story.) Now for those that remember, the Recruitment System allows you to Recruit Good NPC's. These are NPC's that will bring in many different functions. Sometimes they'll open up a Shop, other times they'll give you a steady supply of Income or many other facets. 

BUT there is also the other type of NPC's Traitors. These Traitors will have negative consequences for the Hero and The Ardyn. They will betray you eventually. Might not be done quickly but they will and you won't know until it's too late. They will steal from you, they will take supplies, hurt other NPC's, and if you have have a very poor grasp of their character. Sometimes they will kill other NPC's within The Ardyn. 

It is up to you and the Hero to learn and befriend every NPC but it's up to you to see if they are Ardyn material. People tend to hide their secrets well. Make sure you uncover everything possible before asking an NPC to join you. 

Now as part of this update the other 2 NPC's will be 1 Good and 1 Traitor to start you off. The reason is so you can slowly immerse yourself in how it works and not be bombarded by options. Down the line we'll open it up further. As per the Traitor since this will be your first time asking an NPC to join The Ardyn the consequence will be very minor. Feel free to get both NPC"s to join just so you can see how it works and how Traitors reveal themselves. But be warned. Going forward you will never be extra careful. The Traitor we're adding this update is one that even if you skipped over their content, they're not the best choice regardless.
