Weekly Blog Update 9/2/20 Ellinia Parts and The Ardyn Storyline (Patreon)

Hello all!

Sorry for being quiet but it's been a weird last few days. Work has continued though and I have 2 things I want to talk about today. 

As teased last week we're going to be breaking up the Ellinia update into parts just like how we did with Henesys. How many parts is something we didn't know until now. Based on my personal roadmap, the story outline, and how many NPC's we're adding it's looking like we'll need to do 3-4 parts to complete Ellinia. 

Before you ask "Wow why so many parts?" Well take a look at the new map.

Like we said last week we're adding 3 Town Hubs, 1 small Village Map that doubles as a Port, and lastly a small Hut like An Empty Town. Our count as of this morning is 46 NPC's being added to the game. While a majority are going to be minor characters, there will still be plenty of Female NPC's for you to Romance. 

So how are the Parts going to work? Well for sure you will get the Ellinia Story in 2 Parts. 

Ellinia Story Part 1: Attack on The Libratas and Discovering the New Domain, Domain Alpha. 

Ellinia Story Part 2: Discovering the History of the Libratas and gaining the aid of Ellinia, Elluel, and The Fairy Academy for the War Effort.

Parts 3 and 4 will be Side NPC's that you can romance just like in Henesys Part 2. All in all we will be spending some time within Ellinia so buckle up for the adventure coming up!

What does this mean for Part 1 of Ellinia though? A lot!! Not only will we be adding the first Boss Battle of the game but you will also be learning more about every single member of the Ardyn as well as how their friendship evolves as the situation in Ellinia changes everything. Let me give you a tease of how each member will change and develop as they fight the Libratas in Ellinia. 

Raul: It's in this update that you learn about his home town of Elluel as well as his father, the leader of the elves. He will go through a similar evolution like the Hero where he will have to confront his family and show that he's his own man. Raul's tactics will also be tested as the Libratas Member ends up being more than he's bargained for. 

Asuna: Asuna doesn't have as many singular moments within the Ellinia like the others as she will take on more of a supporting role. Not only will she support the Hero and Raul but her friendship with Leonore will evolve. Leonore's secret was bound to be revealed and the events that follow over the long campaign against Ellinia will see Asuna becoming someone Leonore will depend on more and more. No more will be said because of spoilers.

Leonore: Over the past few updates, Leonore has been gaining more and more control over her powers. It will be in Ellinia that she will showcase what she can do. On top of this her and Asuna will become very close friends as Leonore gains more support for being stuck in her body. Her relationship with the Hero will also have it's ups and downs as Leonore's biggest weakness, her paranoia and fear of losing him again will have her having to deal with certain consequences due to her actions. 

The Hero: Last but not least is the Hero. The Leader of the Ardyn and Warrior to kill the King of the world. The Hero will not only win many battles but he will lose some as well. His Leadership skills will be questioned and his own fears will soon hurt his relationships. He will go through some hardship in Ellinia but he will be greatly rewarded as well. As the Void said to him when he was gifted Domain Sigma. It will call to him soon. He will succeed and he will gain a gift that will remind him what he's fighting for. A gift of something he's wanted since the very beginning of the game. By the end of Part 1 of Ellinia, he will showcase the power he has ready at his fingertips but his heart will be warmed like it has never been warmed before. 

Part 1 is going to end in a very huge cliffhanger but this will setup Part 2 and also motivate you the player to continue the fight against The Libratas. This update is going to be wonderful and we can't wait to show you how many more QOL updates we've added and all the amazing story scenes coming you way!

That will wrap up this Blow Update. Next week is not yet planned but I will share something for sure. We want to thank our amazing Patrons for keeping us motivated to continue.
