An easy to use tool to convert your SkySA animations to the new AMR. You will be able to use SkySA movesets with DAR to dynamically swap animations (stances, progression, perks...)

And there is a question. I have no "ConsoleApp2.exe" in foler, but there is only an exe named "SkySA DAR Converstion Tool.exe".

Super stoked for this! I'm not super capable with this stuff so just wanted to make sure I understand. This still needs an animation set to be a skysa animation set to convert right? But can now use any of the old Skysa sets also. For these animation sets, would you only include attacks and things or all sorts of stuff in there, movement, blocks, jumps etc? The DAR thing is really exciting, I assume this means as long as you have the right looking animations you could set conditions like a bezerker style if you have certain buffs or wounded combat animations if badly wounded.

yay you need a SkySA animation set The tool only converts the SkySA 1.8+ animations. The block, the movement...they're not SkySA, so they don't need to be converted with AMR. You just put them in your DAR folder with your SkySA stuff Is there a demand for the SkySA 1.7- animations tho ? They were made by me ie just placeholders that were supposed to be replaced by animators The DAR magic stuff you speak about...yeah ! You can ! You can do anything DAR allows you to do ! This is how magic the AMR plugin is ! HAHA ! We're entered another era of modding brother

for some reason when i click the SkySA DAR conversion tool.exe a blank windows pops up for half a second then disappears and nothing happens i also have a LE version of a moveset added and hkanno.exe in the folder

Hey Distar. Is nemesis still required for AMR stuff? For some reason I'm getting an error when launching nemesis but it only happens with the skysa patch enabled. I'm not sure what could be causing this, https://i.imgur.com/HY0hQz3.png I've tried switching from nemesis version 0.84 to 0.83 but no luck.

To use AMR for combat you need either SkySa or ABR. I'd suggest, uninstall SkySa, delete your Nemesis output, install SkySa again and hopefully it should work

Okay so I know why I got that error. When I convert a moveset, for example elder souls movesets. Where would I copy and paste the files? I let them overwrite the eldersouls folder in M02 but that didn't work. Do I need to place them into the DAR folders instead?

Another update, the meshes work fine it's the nemesis engine files that cause nemesis to crash with that error. Am I supposed to run it with the meshes and then enable the nemesis engine folder after? Specifically it's Nemesis_Engine\mod\skysa\animationdatasinglefile folders that come with the movesets that are causing the error for me.

Any chance you could provide some tips for how one would convert Animated Armoury's spear and rapier animations to work with AMR and SkySA?

I don't want you to bother with that because . If it is to happen, I will make it much easier again. Like for the conversion tool -> something were you just click and it automatically converts to something usable. I actually plan to do that for Mofu and Anchor, the AA spear very likely isn't high quality enough compared to the other SkySA movesets, and you only want the best movesets, don't you ^^

Can the CAO step be skipped if directly using SkySA SE movesets? Or is it always recommended to use LE movesets then convert them to SE with CAO?

Hmmm the tool won't work with SE movesets as it uses HKanno who can't work with SE movesets. I'll see in the future to automate the conversion part ^^

Hello Distar. Is sideway movement in an attack move is not supported for DAR conversion yet ? Or is it just me that might be missed something ? Hey Distar thanks for a great tool! This might be a dumb question but where do I place the nemesis patch files of the moveset I converted ? I get that I need to set up dar folders for the animation but should I create an empty mod with the DAR files and files for nemesis ?

You only need the converted .hkx files and place it on your DAR folder. You can just delete the skysa$~ files because they're not needed for DAR. Only needed in converting process.

Hey Distar! I just found the mod Le Sentiment du fer HEMA combat overhaul and I saw on the mod page that you helped make that mod. I would like to convert those animations to AMR. Since the mod is built around a modified version of SKYSA Do I follow the same steps as if it were any skysa moveset or do I need to do something different ?

Hmmmmmmm.....Le Sentiment du Fer is just a tweaked version of SkySA, but the conversion tool will only work if they are named after the SkySA naming convention. Conraad didn't change the name so it should work THO. I think he already AMRed the animations so you can already use them with DAR. I'm gonna ask him

Some moveset still had skating problem, I had already installed AMR and Skysa 1.9 and I don't know how to fix.

Yo are your files for LE? Also unfortunately the JH pack itself has issues with it because it doesn't respect the regular SkySa format unfortunately :S

I'm also getting a 'File is unloadable' problem, this is for animations that don't have a 'Nemesis_Engine' folder in them... which is all except for the Elder Souls animations, is there a way around this?

Animations that don't have the Nemesis Engine are already converted to AMR ^^

Hello, thank you Distar for all your hard work! I am sorry if this offtop but did someone manage to make the old first Anchor Yamato to the SKYSA AMR? Of course I know there has been a new Anchor Yamato recently and there is also Vergil which is really great. However, this older version suits me best and I would love to use it with skysa AMR version. If there is no such thing, is there a tutorial on how to convert vanilla moveset to skysa? Thank you!

Found out why data got duplicated. Your tool found two skysa_2hm1.hkx files in different folders. And it wrote/read anno.txt twice and wrote twice in output. As for cut off data i have no explanation.

New issue. If release contains caps .HKX this tool will totally ignore those files and not process their annotations at all. Resulting in broken amr conversion. https://i.imgur.com/Xi8Gqlz.png

Hello there! Do you know if Anchor's SkySA Sword (if you have used it by any chance) set has any issues? I converted to AMR but only some attacks have motion.

I've seen errors in some of Anchors animations because his formatting isn't correct. He uses tabs instead of spaces sometimes which f*ck with the tools. Overall, Anchor stuff is paid and it's not the first time I had to do tech support for his stuff. The least you could expect is for him to provide pre-converted AMR animations. All the free animations are using AMR

Yo, you can use the SE animations too. You just need to copy the whole HKanno64 folder and rename Hkanno64.exe to Hkanno.exe
