Serenity Dev Log (8 May 2021) (Patreon)

Hello all you lovely Neko lovers!
There is some spoiler content in this post. But it is basic and not detailed (I hope lol).

I've made some decent progress on 1.0 the last few days, about 140 images in now. Although I did keep rewriting a scene because it just didn't feel the way I wanted it to. Once I was happy with that, I was able to move on and get on a good roll. Not much more to tell you on development than that really. I just keep plugging away in AI and starting to spend way more time on each pose/image than I used to. I now begin to understand why some devs take longer than one month to release an update, especially those Daz guys. I really don't want to ever have that happen so I try not to over analyze. One of the things that has taken some time is 1.0 will be the first release of mine with something I had to make from scratch using what was available to me in studioneo. Plus I had to learn how to use a really cool feature I discovered, which turned out to be super easy.

I hope you've had a chance to get my last update, 0.9sp, which doesn't add any new story content. Instead, 0.9sp shows the new reworked graphics for earlier scenes from day 1 to day 4. I spent all of last month on those improvements and I'm very glad that I did. The next update will be 1.0 with day 10 (new story content). And the following month, I may do a few more like that horrible dungeon scene with Cassie and Samantha. Playing it back myself is cringeworthy. I'm planning to completely rewrite that entire segment. In fact, almost that whole in-game day will get some rewrites and redone graphics.

I hate to hold back on new content for some months but I'd rather get this out of the way now because the stuff coming up next in Serenity is going to get busy. A lot of things will be happening at once and I don't want to lose focus during that. A lot of emotional stuff coming back to the story as with what happened in Day 8. Only, what's coming won't be over with in one update. Remember quite a few months back, I mentioned that some dark stuff will be coming. You all assumed it was about sister. No. The real threat is looming and what I was talking about back then will start happening after the next few updates. When it starts, whatever you do, don't lose faith in me. Just go with it and trust me. MC wasn't going to get all of this fantasy world at his command without a fight and without pain at some point. A couple of new characters will be entering the picture. And when the first one arrives, that will be your cue... it will mean the dark times are beginning. So, anyway, prepare yourself for that and like I said, stick with the story and remember to stay positive!!! Sadness is your weakness. And on that note... have you ever wondered what anger might do to MC? Stay tuned guys... it's going to get really interesting!

That's all I have for now guys and gals. Hopefully the information I've given you helps with your patience for the next batch of updates over the next few months. I cannot WAIT to get to this stuff. But as you know, we have 3 updates focused on 6 girls and as promised, we will continue that way, starting with 1.0. We'll be really getting to know on another level and also finally see a certain demon level up and become what she is meant to be.

Now I need to get back to work. Love you all. Oh, almost forgot... For my story-loving AVN fans out there, if you're okay with Daz games I have to recommend this one called Leap of Faith. Pretty sure most of you have heard of it or even played it. But if you haven't, do yourself a favor!! This is a truly well written piece of work. If you want a story that is driven by emotion, choices that matter, excellent graphics, and lots of humor... Drifty has it all for you. And I am not saying this to boost him, I just played the game recently while taking a break and I just love it. (Cece best girl!) Be sure to check it out guys. Oh and leave his music on!! Like me, he puts a lot of effort into adding good music and certain parts of the story and he does it very well!
