Public Status Update - Version .5 (11/5) (Patreon)
Content
Hello everyone! Almost the weekend again and it has been almost 2 weeks since my last update on version .5 (Day 5).
Well, where to start? It's been a crazy couple of weeks here between my full time job, family stuff, and trying to work on Serenity as much as possible. I way overestimated myself on releasing no later than Wednesday (yesterday). Here it is Thursday the 5th and I'm still roughly only 1/3 through the renders I need to complete for this release. I probably shouldn't have chosen to make this update so big, I just want to have as much content as possible. And there is a ton of story to tell for Serenity. I like to have a render per line of text so that starts to add up. Of course, this doesn't even account for the extra renders I do to create the "flip" animations here and there. Maybe not everyone will like this, I love it. An example of this flip-animation (as I call it) is in the last release (.3) during the scene with Morgan. Anyway, I thought it was something cool to do that I haven't seen much of in other AVN's.
Speaking of animations... I will have a few in .5 (some are already done). I'm working on another right now actually. There will be 2 lewd scenes (the first being the rest of Day 4 of course).
After some requests, I plan to put together a changelog starting with this release. It seems like it interests people to know how many images there are among other details. I have a proofreader also that has found a lot of my bloopers so I'll be editing script from the beginning of the story, and onward. Also since I started this project, I learned a few new tricks on lighting and POV settings, color, etc... I want to go back and redo all the renders from the first 3 or 4 scenes: Trina's office scenes - the first one and the second one when Kat is with you - because the POV settings in the second one were way off (I discovered later) and I want to improve/adjust lighting and add some post-processing on the other scenes. Besides fixing renders, there are a few things I want to clean up in the dialog as well. Most of these improvements will happen after I get caught up to a point where I can release my updates ON the first of each month, and have the full next month to work on the next release. That will give me at least some time to perfect the rest of the game.
Anyway, as for release date... I'm pretty sure there is no way I'll have this ready before the end of this weekend and I definitely won't carve a date into stone right now. All I can say is that I am working on Serenity every moment I can outside of full time work and family stuff. I'm not even playing any games myself right now because this is more important to me. So hang in there folks... its cumming very soon!
Thanks to those of you patient enough to wait and still support me. I love you for that!
