Hello everyone! I hope you're all having a lovely May so far.

It's the beginning of the month, so it's time for one of those posts where I talk about my plans for the month.

So why Magic May? Because I wanted to put a wizard hat on a fox and have it say 'hocus pocus'... and that's really all there is to it! Not everything needs a complicated reason behind it. It's dumb, but I like making banners for these posts. It's twenty minutes where I get to do a silly consequence-less thing and I can listen to some music and collect my thoughts on exactly what I want to write here and how I want to plan my month out.

To give a general overview of my plans, I want to step back from programming this month and focus on what I do best... which is writing!

Anyway! Let's get into it, shall we?

A Tiny Furry In A Huge World v1.2

Probably the most significant thing coming this month - in terms of word count - will be the release of A Tiny Furry In A Huge World v1.2. Even if you've been keeping up with the preview builds then there'll be a whole ton of new scenes for you to enjoy, and if you haven't been keeping up with the preview builds, then... oh geez you have a lot to look forward to. v1.2 will add, all in all...

- Over 30 new scenes with characters new and old (the most that's ever been in a Tiny Furry update)
- Two new characters (Bellus, the fae dragon, and Lucas, Aimee's brother)
- A brand new area to explore - the student councillor's office
- A quest???
- Bunch of new backgrounds and general game improvements

I'm planning on bringing it out around the end of the month. I will probably add Hannelore's polled bonus ending from last month in June, though. There's a lot for me to finish up writing already...

Stories Stories Stories

Now that the novella is out and my thirst for programming has been sated, I'll be putting some real focus in writing some stories.

There'll be a few this month. I plan on starting off the month with a couple of short stories that I've almost finished, and then I'll be working on a couple of longer things that I'm hoping to get out before the end of the month too.

The longer things: one features a big boy fox that's from a franchise about catching guys in balls or something, I dunno, and the other has a knight of a rat from a series that has 'Final' and 'Fantasy' in it's title. The shorter things... well, you'll see 'em soon enough.

Polls

As always, we'll do some polls. We have to decide the teacher hyena's disposition and do a bonus ending poll. I'll sprinkle these through the month to keep things interesting between stories and other things I'll be posting.

Next month there'll be a special poll, but... that's next month.

Other Stuff

You might remember last month I mentioned that I would be releasing The Hungry House on textadventures.co.uk for public play. You might remember that I didn't do that... and there's actually a very good reason why.

The reason? I uploaded it (privately) to test if it would work in browser, and... it does not! Like, at all. The intro doesn't even play. Why? I really have no idea exactly why, but... textadventures.co.uk just doesn't play nice with certain pieces of Quest's code despite the fact that it's literally designed to run Quest's code? Dunno why that is, but... it doesn't work.

Now - I could spend a week or so going through the entire game, changing the code where it needs to be changed, and tune things up to make it work... probably... but that would mean spending a week tuning up code. Not only would this be agonizing and annoying... the thought of having to reupload the game every time I make a change to see if the code works and then playing to that point in the game over and over to see if I changed the thing that breaks it sounds irritating... but it would all be for the sake of a website where I don't want to host my content anymore.

So! The textadventures.co.uk thing for The Hungry House isn't happening. Sorry about that! I do plan on doing something about it though, which is...

I'm going to port The Hungry House over to Game Maker.

Not right away - I am not going to touch the program this month, honestly - but it is something that I am going to do. I'm pretty much going to stop working on the extended version that I was making in Quest and move all of the stuff over there. That way, y'know, more people can play it than if it was just a .quest file. After experimenting with A Tiny Furry In A Huge World last month, I've realized that it won't be that hard to do and the amount of work it will take will be worth it.

I'm going to take some time to do some special stuff and add even more content to it, so I'm planning on having this out on here around September to launch publicly on Halloween this year. It will be worth the wait and I am planning on doing some really cool stuff! Also, more vore!

In order to make up for the delay, I will be posting some sick ass belly sound loops that I commissioned from CuttleScuttle this month as a teaser. Audio isn't something I upload often - or at all, for that matter - so that will make for a cool change of pace.

Mental Health

I'm doing good! Next month I gotta move and that's going to be a nightmare because moving always is. I've been slowly packing my stuff up into boxes, though, so at least I should be prepared...

I think that's it!

Before the end of the week I'll be posting a short story and also a poll! See you then!

Yeah, heck, so much stuuuuff!! And on the big story, thats a 10/10! Good work and thank you for everything ~ Am excited about what you brew up this month. And don't worry about the textadventure site thing. It's not like it's super important or paramount to play your Games XD Also, good luck with the moving! Hope everything goes well!
