Hello everyone!

It's been a little bit, but I've been really busy working on some what I like to call cool shit. The coolest part is that it will all be out before the end of the month, so... it's going to be an action-packed couple of days on here, I think.

Just so that I'm not sneaking this in the middle somewhere, I've delayed the final release of v1.2 of A Tiny Furry In A Huge World to next month. I need a little more time to hash out the last couple of scenes and write the guide and... you know, make it the update that it's supposed to be. However, do not be disappointed - there is a game update coming this month. It's going to be a little different but also super cool. You can read all about it below.

Anyway! Three things. In no particular order, here's what they are.

Bonus Ending Poll

In what is probably the least significant news - but still exciting - there will be the second part of our bonus ending poll tomorrow. In what was a surprise to me at least, Hannelore absolutely smashed the poll to pieces... so it's time to choose an ending for her!

I'll be cooking up at least three ideas for her tomorrow for everyone to choose from. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to leave them in the comments! I'd be very interested to hear what you'd like to see the big dragon do.

Dead Or Alive

This month I am releasing a vore novella. Specifically, an oral vore novella. Even more specifically, a graphic oral vore novella.

Here is the edited word count. I still have about 10,000 words left to edit, though, so... it's going to be a touch longer than that! The fact that I have created something that will take on average three and half hours to read - before the last sixth of the words - is pretty fucking cool, though. It's like I've made a movie or something...

It's very nearly (finally) ready. Writing this thing has been like climbing a mountain. I didn't expect that writing a short book would be this hard, but... hey! It's by far the biggest part of my backlog, so, when this is cleared out, the rest of the stuff is going to be a fly by in comparison. I'm betting I'm gonna be posting a lot of stories over the next couple of months.

I am SUPER excited to show this off to everyone... and it'll be coming in just a couple of days! Before the end of the month for sure. I'm planning on Friday but it might be Saturday... really depends on how things go.

A Tiny Furry In A Huge World Plus Plus? A Tiny Furry In A Huge World Plus Championship Edition? A Tiny Furry In A Huge World Ah Man You Can Play It On Your Phone Now Edition? IDK

Still not sure what to title this one - as you can probably tell - but I have been working on something super cool behind the scenes this month.

I only intended to work on it on the weekends but I just ended up getting super wrapped up in it and... well, here we are. I'm glad I made the sidetrack, though, because what I really needed to settle my mind on the whole moving into a new engine thing was creating something that would show off why I wanted to move into a new engine... and this does exactly that, I think.

At first when I trudged into making stuff in Game Maker I thought to myself that I'd make something brand new to kind of test the engine out and get my feet wet, but... in the end, I was just too curious to see how a port of A Tiny Furry In A Huge World might look. Curious, and, also, with the content already wrote, I could kinda just focus on the programming stuff... which is really the biggest hurdle to working in a new engine. Plus, it is something I am inevitably going to have to do, so, why not at least make a start at tackling it now?

Anyway... so I decided to port Ms. Matthew's content over. By far the biggest boon is that it'll be playable on Android devices, but, beyond that, there is visual improvements abound and just tons of quality of life things that will make enjoying the game for extended periods easier.

I did change some of the text along the way, but... not significantly. If you're especially eagle-eyed then you might notice some differences here or there. Mostly I just focused on the visual stuff.

This (kinda experimental) port of Ms. Matthews content will be coming out this month. I'd really like everyone to try it, just to see how they feel about it.

Even if you aren't a fan of Ms. Matthews content, I implore you to take a look at these screenshots and GIFs regardless, because... I think they're cool!

You can also make the text size bigger if your eyes ain't all that good like mine or... just, you know, if you want to.

Sometimes that makes the text scroll of the screen of course...

... but that's okay! You can scroll it really easily.

Ignore the GIF looking a little clunky. That's just because it's a GIF. I swear it scrolls smooth as silk in game.

Looking at things (or otherwise interacting with them) will automatically scroll the text for you too. Also, it prints it in yellow, because it just kinda looks nice that way, you know?

One thing that I'm not really sure about is the font. At this point, though, with me wanting to post this up here to play for everyone by the end of the month, it's a little too baked into everything for me to change it. It's definitely something that I'm going to be looking into when I officially start the port, though.

To interact with objects other than looking at them, you can click on the verbs underneath the objects list like this. Or... senses list? They're context sensitive, so they change depending on what's happening. For example, with maw, you might be able to yell at someone... or lick their shoe... or bite their toe bean while it's crushing you. It might be a little confusing at first, but it'll make sense the more you play.

Or, if you prefer, you can just right click to cycle through the verbs, letting you quickly sample all the interactions you desire... like so!

Here's a GIF of the player wriggling their way into Ms. Matthews shoe because why not?

If you don't like the color blue, you can also change the theme! This was a feature that I had to cut from A Tiny Furry Quest and... it's weirdly nice to bring it back?

There's also a setting menu with a really neat transition that I might have spent way too much time on.

Naturally, changing the theme also changes the menu a little!

Wow! Super cool, right? Or at least, I think so...

Anyway! I think that's about enough GIFs. If you'd like to see more then this will be coming out at the end of the month, so... you won't have to wait long!

Here's a question and answer segment that I hope will clear up some pressing questions.

Q: Does this mean that you are actively working on porting A Tiny Furry In A Huge World over to GameMaker?

A: Not exactly. This was more of an experimental thing just so that I could learn more of the ropes, and I am not planning on like... making porting the rest of the game over a priority, at least right now. Now that I have learned a ton about GameMaker by doing this, I would like to work on a different project before fulling committing to a port... only because I think it'll work out as a little more exciting for everyone.

However, I will most certainly be porting the entire thing over at some point. In a month or two I should have a more solid plan, and I'll likely do a poll about it too. How quickly it happens depends on how much people want it, I guess.

In the process of programming this game, I have also taken as many steps as I can think of to make porting the rest of the game over as easy as possible. It wouldn't be quite as easy as just copying and pasting the text over but it also (probably) wouldn't take me more than a few months to do. I don't really want to do it while I'm making active updates in Quest for the game, though, because I'm just adding more and more to the mountain I already gotta port so - more on this in the next question.

Q: Does this mean that you aren't going to make any further A Tiny Furry In A Huge World updates for Quest?

A: Nope! At least, not in the immediate future. I still plan on making v1.3 and maybe even v1.4 in Quest before, well, abandoning the program. This will probably take us up to the end of the year. After that, I don't really want to work in Quest as a program. It's been like... five years at this point. It's time for me to move into a bigger and bolder pasture.

This is another reason why I'm not going to work on a port immediately. I'd rather not be working on both the Quest version of A Tiny Furry In A Huge World and the GameMaker version of A Tiny Furry In A Huge World at the same time. I also want to get my head out of GameMaker for a bit and focus more on my current projects... something that, with the release of this, I feel more ready to do. Announcing that I was working in a new engine gave me a strange desire to prove myself, and... I really feel that when people try this out, they will feel like this was the correct move to make.

Q: Does this mean that I'll have to buy A Tiny Furry In A Huge World Plus on itch.io again?

A: Nope. It'll be released as a free update. I might increase the price - because it's a considerably more professional product - but if you've already bought in then that won't matter. If you're subbed to Patreon at the time of release then you'll also get a copy of it as part of your pledge, naturally.

Q: So I can play it on my phone, right?

A: Yes. If it's an android, anyway.

Q: And I can also play it on my Windows computer?

A: Yes, absolutely.

Q: What about this random platform...

A: I can't really give any clear answers on ports to other systems yet, sorry!

Q: Alright. So what's this other game you want to work on in Game Maker, then?

A: I have a few ideas - all of them involving text-based vore shenanigans. I'm not sure I'm ready to announce anything solid yet, but it will be very different and cool. Something like Vorevival, just... better. I really want to try my hand at making a vore RPG/Corruption of Champions sorta game and I think with all the knowledge I've gained over the past few months I'm ready to try it again.

With that being said, though, I am fickle and likely to change my mind, so, who knows? One thing that can be counted on for sure is that it's content and general theming and maybe even some of it's gameplay will be influenced by poll. The community here has always guided me in a good direction with my games I think and I'm eager to see what everyone thinks of my ideas.

Q: What about A Tiny Furry On A Huge Quest?

A: At this point in time it's impossible to say what I'm doing with Huge Quest other than that it's happening at some point. Just not right now.

A Tiny Furry In A Huge Quest was something that I made when I was very used to Quest. I would like to be very used to Game Maker before tackling it. It's a very complicated project and with a more complicated engine I can do even more things with it. More than anything, though, I kinda want to do it justice.

I think that covers about everything... or, everything that I can think of.

Well, there is one more thing. More than anything, I would like to thank everyone for being patient with me while I got my feet in GameMaker and learned to walk in it. Working in this engine is much more beneficial for me - because I can do more things, both visually and on a gameplay level - but I hope that, when you try out the port at the end of the month, you'll feel that the move to a new engine was beneficial for you too.

Anyway, this has been a long post and I still have a lot to work on, so, I'm going to go and get on with that!

I'll see you tomorrow with a poll!

First Fox, then Hannerlore. The stars have aligned. They are both my favourite characters. :3 The game maker stuff looks amazing. I am excited to see what you'll come up with.

I am quite hyped for the upcoming novella! Staying tuned.
