Hello everyone!

Here's this month's A Tiny Furry In A Huge World preview build thingy. I said it wasn't going to be a huge one, but it came out fairly big anyway - mostly because some of the commission work that I needed to do was related to this, but also because I took a week out of commissions to work on a couple of things in-game. I'll go into this more at the end of the post. For now, though, how's about that changelog?

I'm going to do a short summary first. Looking down at this I've rambled a lot, and while I like rambling, you might not want to read through it all to figure out what's been added to the game. So!

- Three new scenes (one for Miles, one for Charlotte, one for Oscar) totalling 13000 words
- Lucas the fox has been fully integrated. No scenes, but has like 3000-4000 words of content anyways
- Like eight shiny new backgrounds for the lobby, college, and library
- The usual game clean up stuff

Here's the long version:

NEW SCENES

This month sees three new scenes added to the game!

- Oscar has a new aware cock vore scene. In a rare turn for Oscar, he's kind of a massive dick to you in this one! It's always kinda fun when a nice guy turns on you, though, right? Anyway, it's about 5500 words long, so pretty chunky! This ending was commissioned, hence the extra length! Thank you very much to the commissioner!

This one is very painful for the player, so, if you're not super into that then this one might not be for you. Reader beware, basically.

You can access this one after you arrive at his dorm on his route. A new option has been added when he yells at you in excitement, wherein you can really go off at him. You can also access it by using the new endings link under Patreon cheats on the main menu!

- Miles has had a new aware paw crush ending added. In a not-so-rare turn for Miles, he's a complete dick to you. It's always kinda fun when a complete dick is a complete dick though, right? Uh... anyway, like the last one, it's about 5500 words long. This ending was commissioned, hence the extra length again! Thank you very much to the commissioner!

This one is also painful, so... yeah, I already said this bit. Be careful!

This ending is an extension to Miles' peaceful ending - so you can get to it by yelling at him on his shoulder. Or, hey, there's that new endings link under Patreon cheats on the main menu...

- Since the other two scenes I added this month were pretty long, I decided to choose one of the shorter-sounding suggestions from the box for this month's bonus ending. This wasn't to avoid work, really, but because I do want to add shorter and bouncier scenes to the game as well as long ones, you know? Not everything has to be multiple thousands of words long.

Anyway, this one is about 1500 words long and it features Charlotte! You can now jump off her shoulder and creep into her bra like a pervert. Bad things will happen to you if you do, but, hey, it also might be kinda nice...?

Climb up Charlotte in the computer lab and then jump off into the neckline of her top. New endings? Patreon cheats? Main menu? Yes!

There are more commission endings on the way, but they'll be a touch shorter than the ones this month. I got the big ones out of the way first. Anyway - there'll be an ending for Ms. Matthews, Emily, and another character that hasn't been quite decided on added this update. Aside from bonus endings, though, I think this'll be it for endings for existing characters when it comes to v1.2 - I want to focus on getting Lucas and Bellus fleshed out more than anything.

LUCAS

Lucas (or Aimee's big brother) has been added to the game properly!

- He roams around three areas of the college - these being both ends of the East Wing Corridor and the library.
NOTE: Originally, he was going to roam into the computer lab and the lobby too, but he has plot reasons to stay reasonably close to Aimee. I might make him wander into the lobby later on, but right now, since it doesn't have a character in it or much for him to interact with, I'm just going to hold off on it and maybe introduce it in a future update, who knows.

I have coded him so that he can move around easily and logically to pretty much anywhere I want, so it won't be an issue to give him more locations later.

- He has interactions with Aimee and Charlotte in the form of chatter, and three different intros depending on where you bump into him first. He also has different descriptions depending on where you look at him too.
He also brings with him the beginnings of a fairly exciting plot that I plan on introducing into the game over the next few months. I won't spoil anything too much, but people have been asking for a way to solve the protagonists shrinking problems for a bit, so... it's something to do with that! There'll be plenty of voreish bad endings along the way, though!

- I added options for him in the options menu:

With these, you can teleport him around, stop him from wandering around, or even remove the poor fox from the game entirely if you want to. I figured that I'd try to cover as many bases as possible.

- He has no scenes yet, but they will be coming soon. I plan on him having quite a few - gentle stuff, mean stuff, aware stuff, unaware stuff. A whole fun range. A lot of time was spent writing his intros (they're about a 1000 words or so each) writing his descriptions and generally just making sure that he wasn't coded like complete shit. The only work that needs to be done on him now is his content, basically - which is a good thing.

NEW BACKGROUNDS

These are all kind of work in progress and will probably change a bit as v1.2 chugs along, but I wanted to get some of them in so that I could get a good feel for how they look. There's a good chance that I might end up focusing a lot more on the writing with a lot of stuff to write for both Bellus and Lucas, so I might even end up reverting them back to the old ones temporarily and launching them proper with v1.3 or something, I dunno. The point is, though, they're in, but consider them a beta element.

I am very proud of them, though - especially the ones for the library.

These were all made in Blender and then edited to have a watercolor sorta effect in PhotoShop - but I went into all that earlier in the month, so I'll spare you a rant and just leave you that basic explanation.

- Changed the background for the college lobby!

- New backgrounds for the East Wing Corridor - both the top and the bottom. Out of all the backgrounds, these are the most placeholderish, so don't mind them looking a little rough around the edges

-
Five new backgrounds for the library. These include the entrance, underneath Aimee's desk, Aimee's lap, Aimee's shoulder, and, of course, Aimee's table. I had to get creative when it came to her lap and shoulder given that I don't have a model of her as much as I'd love one, but I think what I created fits pretty nicely. Maybe one day I'll have a big fox girl model of my very own.
I am pretty happy with these - I enjoy them changing as you move through the area a lot. I'd like to get stuff like this a standard for all the areas, I think it's pretty immersive, or, at the very least, neat.

I plan on doing internal backgrounds for the characters too (for the vore stuff, you know) but I'll probably do those last or at some other point because I'd like them to use things that I've learned doing other shit in Blender to make them look as juicy as possible.

MISC STUFF

- The college has become considerably less euclidean. A few areas had some pretty confused directions to say the least - for example, you entered the computer lab from the north but also left it from the north - huh. Anyway, there were about three or four examples of this scattered through the game.

- Some areas were altered and cleaned up. For example, the area where you're standing on Charlotte's shoulder was, to be harsh on myself, kind of wrote like shit, so I wrote it a little better. There are probably a few areas like this in the game honestly - mostly ones that were produced when I was hurriedly banging out an update every week a couple of years back. Another note - I've changed Aimee's motorcycle boots to regular leather boots, mostly because she doesn't actually ride a motorcycle and those things are really fucking uncomfortable as I've found out not so recently. Give the fox better shoes? Absolutely. They're still stinky, though, so don't worry about that.

Side note that I have probably side noted before: I used to be really trigger happy with commas. Every update as of late I feel like I remove a hundred of the things. It's, like, not every sentence, needs five commas, you know? It's interesting how you grow as a writer, I guess.

That's it!

I wanted to bring up commissions. This month was supposed to be dedicated to them and it was! I have made a lot of progress, I just don't have much to show for it yet. I wanted to have that big 50,000 word story out this month, but you know it's a big 50,000 word story so it's taking a bit of time. I currently have 40,000 words of it wrote though so I have broken it's back pretty fucking hard I think and it should be coming before the middle of next month. If I hadn't have taken a week away to put some more stuff in the game I would have probably had it done, but, to be honest... I kinda needed a break from the big story to do game stuff, anyways. I find it's best if I hop around between projects rather than working on until it's completely finished.

To kinda progress report on other things, I have three 10,000 word stories that I need to write also. I have been burning away on two of these very gently over the month to the point that they're half completed. One is just a draft on the table right now. I'm hoping to have all three of them completed by the end of January, and then... well, clean sailing from there. I'll be able to focus on my games for a few months - which will be nice, honestly. I have a lot of work I want to do on them, I just need to have the weight of this backlog off my mind before I can properly knuckle down.

Expect tons of stories in January, basically. There will, of course, be a game update at the end of the month there too. It's a little too early to say exactly what will be in it, but, there sure will be some stuff. I also have a short story that I planned on uploading today - but I kinda put a bunch of time into making sure this update was a little shinier instead of putting the finishing touches on it.

This weekend I am going to chill - because I kinda deserve a weekend, you know? Don't we all? So expect the story after then. After New Year's Day I will do my usual beginning of the month post. I'll go over the commissions and what will be in them and what I'm planning for the month and, hey, I think it's probably time to talk about how I feel about The Hungry House too.

Until then, happy playing, and happy 2023! 2022 has had it's upsides and downsides for sure, but a constant upside has been the community that I've developed around me - that supports me and loves my stuff. Thank you, as always, for being here. I have full faith in myself for the year going forward... I think it's gonna be pretty great, honestly.
