Hey everyone!

HERE'S A BIGGER POST ABOUT THIS THING IF YOU'VE NOT HEARD ABOUT IT OR PLAYED IT YET! I RELEASED IT LAST MONTH SO A FEW PEOPLE MIGHT NOT BE AWARE OF IT STILL

In preparation of launching Macroville on the mess of the site that is textadventures.co.uk, I have put up a private listing that can only be accessible via link. I'm going to go ahead and post it here rather than messaging everyone because if it leaks then it leaks I guess. At the end of the day it'll be public in two weeks or so so there's not much point in making it too much of a closely guarded secret.

Anyway here's the link to it!

The process of making it work on the website was honestly pretty painless. It just took time, really. Nothing was cut or lost in the process of conversion. Which makes me optimistic for whenever I get Tiny Furry In A Huge Quest up there and finished.

Please note, though, textadventures.co.uk is unreliable at the best of times and is prone to disconnecting randomly which is going to scramble a game like this. Or any game uploaded there, really. The ideal way is to play it through the desktop version of Quest because it doesn't rely on servers that are being powered by gerbils running in wheels.

Anyway. Despite that nonsense, uploading this on textadventures.co.uk was kind of exciting. It's really cool to have another game underneath my belt, especially one that's a bit outside of the norm of something that I would usually do. Seeing it run in the browser is neat, and having it close to release and functional on it's main platform is a great feeling.

There is one more update that needs to come to it - and that's just to add the Patreon credits to the game. I'll do this closer to the end of the month.

NOTE: I haven't actually tested it on mobile because I'm not sure how people make textadventures.co.uk work on a mobile phone. Bugs beware? Please report? You know where to find me.

After taking a couple of weeks to reflect on the whole experience, I'm glad that I took some time out to make it. A lot of things were learned in the process of doing so. It isn't perfect and if I were to do it again I'd do a lot of things differently, but, that in itself is the joy of creation. You create one thing and you get a thousand ideas on how to do the next thing better. And then you do those ideas. And then the next thing that you make is better than the last thing that you made. Or something like that.

Anyway! Macroville. Mobile. It's a thing.

I'm going to have a commission up in like, 5 minutes or something. See you there!
