Hi, So far this month I've been getting a Raccoon ready, new look, new fur, got some test animation and some stills! I've also worked on making the wolf (and all other characters) have better animation for the foreskin.

To show this off I threw together a quick test animation earlier on in the day and hit render. This is a very WIP animation, it's barely started. Its just a few poses with simple easing. Zero refinement or polish. Also no jiggle, no fur sim, clipping and bad poses.

Sorry I didn't post sooner, my tiredness has been slowly abating and after 3-4 weeks I'm back to 75-80% energy levels , which sucks that I'm still not 100% but I'll take any improvement I can get and I've still managed to do things!

The executive producers voted on the next animation... that poor raccoon... It's going to be something even thicker, (and I'm going to be really stretching the little guy) as they voted for the polar burr filling the raccoon next time! (Hmm big chonky burr... new jiggle sim...)

Making a raccoon character is HARD. It's a combination of head shape, fur shape and fur color that make them look 'right' go look up an albino racoon or shudders a hairless one and you'll see what I mean, each look like completely different animals. But I think after hitting my head against the wall I've got something that captures that certain look. Let me know what you think.

I'll keep tweaking characters whenever I think they look 'off' from Fur styles to overall designs. I know 3D artists don't generally do this and instead have strait up new revisions if they change up things but I've built an environment that allows constant evolution and I like improving how they look. :)

Now I've got the raccoon ready I can go onto the main animation with these two (raccoon is gonna get filled with some wuff) and I should (hopefully) have it done by the end of the month as I'm still running a bit laggy here.

Oh and let me know in the comments if you'd be interested in me polishing up this foreskin test animation and getting a full render done, if so I'll look to work on it after I've posted the main loop (and I'll add a whip pan at the end to a smiling wolf), will just be a standard with no alt version

Well anyway, I do hope you enjoy the little preview animation with the newer foreskin, and I'll be back at the end of the month with whatever I've cooked up by then.

Should be in the attachments as "240719_WIP_racc_wolf_4_skin_Test_H264_WIP.mp4" do you see the image files, '240719_WIP_racc_wolf_4_skin_Test_Still_[1-3].png' ? Also anyone else reading this, can you reply if you cannot access, or have problems opening the above file(s)? Edit: Off to bed, already stayed up late to make this post. If you are still having problems Gwuffy (or if anyone else does) I'll look at dealing with it when I get up.

i think you nailed the face shape and the white highlights on the ears and around the mask. i can definitely tell that you went for more of a cinnamon-colored raccoon this time around raccoon approved 👍
