Ok so Oculus Quest is what i have ( the new all in one wireless one)

From what i understand ( unless i stream from the pc ) it can only run these  "apk" android files, So id need to make the game in that format,


question is for everyone else that has a Real vr headset that connects to the pc,
can you use this file somehow or do you 100% need a windows .exe

so do you figure vr is finally "worth it"? i was waiting for wireless but still unsure if i should keep waiting.

Yeah that's why im back on board no wires but the quality is also good not gonna be better then 4 1080s on a pc but you cant notice the difference.

100% need to use an EXE for the Vive. To my knowledge there's no way to run an APK in windows without using an emulator, and I doubt that will also work with the Vive

Ok gonna be dumb for a sec, what program are you using to see unity in vr?

None install the APK file ( side load it with side quest ) and hit play

Glad to see the progress on the plung into VR and cool to hear you got the quest, I love mine. Yes you need to build it twice at least twice. Once for android and once for PC. I haven't tested it yet, but I hear it's possible to build with the same project by just changing the build target. If not you can do what I've done, which is to child all the scene contents under a single parent, drag that parent into the project files, essentially making it a prefab and then export the prefab with dependencies selected. Then you can import it into another project all setup for PC VR.
