I'm a little iffy on the lighting because I had to make a previous set-up work here. Otherwise these poses worked out really well. After doing those animation challenges I've been trying a new approach to larger-scale scenes. I always ran into some creative walls and had trouble making decisions when I felt the need to stretch a pose or set-up out for too long. Instead I'm trying to make things a bit more dense so I don't have to think about the macro as much. The transitions between the poses are blocked out ahead of time and give me something to concentrate on. It breaks the animation down more.
This probably doesn't make a lot of sense unless you've animated a lot, but I think it'll actually save me time in the end. I think this new method allows me to rely on key frames a lot more instead of figuring it out on the spot, which brings me closer to a more traditional animation process and takes a lot of the mental load off.
