I spent a little bit of time practicing dick sculpting, but I didn't really set any goals.  Though I had done plenty of sculpting in that area before, I never did it from scratch, so I wanted to see if I was capable.

And... yeah no surprise here.  Working with dick models a bunch in the past probably helped, but I can still put together one pretty easily.  It's much less anatomically complex and open for stylization compared to other parts of the body, even the breasts.

It's interesting that artists will get a lot of criticism for getting parts of the vagina wrong, but they can make obvious mistakes when it comes to the dick and no one really bats an eye.  I wonder if it's truly an anatomy problem or a social blind spot.  Perhaps dicks are much more historically stylized so it's baked into our expectations.

At a glance, any dick criticisms amount to scale: too big or too small.  But vaginas operate on multiple different axis: shape, proportion, texture.  When's the last time you've heard someone critique the inaccuracies of a dick's frenulum?  Perhaps these criticisms are observed but not verbalized, as opposed to the genitalia of the opposite sex.

Above are all the quick dick sculpts I did for practice.  Perhaps I'll try doing some more realistic sculpts but for the time being I'm not very concerned about it.  What I might do instead is focus on the micro detail with a higher poly-count sculpt or in Substance Painter.  It could be a good jumping-off point for detailing other parts of the body and I don't want to get too attached to that Urgarulga model.

Something that always bugged me about 3d genitalia like dicktator and futalicious is there are never any morphs that move the vertices down the shape, keeping the shape, if you see what I mean, so that it would look like the skin was moving (effectively stretching the UV). I think the texture and detailing are really important as well.

I believe you can workaround the issue by creating a driver linking to the coordinates of the UV map, but I'm not entirely sure how it'd work for moving specific parts of the UV map instead of the whole thing, never looked into it properly.

Awesome, I figured when it came to dicks you'd be fairly in your element as is but there's still things to learn when it comes to cock shaping, especially if you're going for detail and you get things like the frenulum bunching up which is something you don't see on Futalicious/Dicktator, also can't forget about giving the balls some detail too, ridges and bumps, NEVER FORGET THE SCROTUM.

Dicks are definitely much more open to artistic license, historically and socially.

The way I imagine it working is with come kind of shader switch (IDK if you can do that in Blender), i.e. with coordinates from 0 to 1, if < 0.5 then compress towards 0.5, for example, for half way down.

Have you done much work in Zbrush? Just wondering what your thoughts are in comparing blender to zbrush

I toyed around with it a while ago, but not for long. From what I hear Zbrush is better as a specialized sculpting program. Apparently the gap is closing slightly as Blender invests more time in its sculpting tools though.

The slide relax brush in Blender does exactly that. It moves the vertices around while keeping the shape. That's what I use for shape keys when I need skin to slide around.
