I just wanted to clarify because I think you missed it, but yes: Tristan and Lucien are working together. In the previous episode, Elijah confronted Tristan to find Klaus and Aurora. He suspected Tristan was hiding something because his heart skipped when he accused him of working with someone, so Elijah asked Marcel to have his Strix guys tail Tristan for the day. Tristan went inside a place called the “Candide Royal” and never came out. The place has hidden passageways that were used in the 20s to move booze to a secret storehouse which was recently purchased by Kingmaker Land Development (owned by Lucien). This is also the same corporation that hired independent contractors to kill the wolves in the first two episodes.
