Loved ur reaction towards Kai getting trapped, he truly is a bad person no matter what and ppl still defend him.

Therese Larsen

I wouldn’t say people defend him, most people know he is evil but that is what they enjoy about him, as a villain. He is rutheless - there is nothing good about him. The only thing making him sort of kind and empathetic right now is due to Luke and his personality, not his own. He is a real sosiopath and it’s sort of refreshing amongst the other villains who always had a little sad story making them sort of vulnerable and we’re supposed to feel bad for them. We do not feel bad for Kai, we enjoy him as a villain. Plus his humor is gold

yh i had no sympathy for kai. i get how people like him as a villian but i was glad Bonnie got some type of revenge and how damon helped her get it. ur reaction to the stefan and caroline scene was hilarious. now u know how delena fans felt when their first time was during the sire bond reveal lol.

Jasmine Bellucci

Katherine died bc Silas sucked the cure out of her system and she was 500 y/o. Anyway I love this new version of Bonnie, she finally stood up for herself.

He did?🤔 I don’t remember that at all lol. I’ll need to rewatch

Yes, basically as long as cure stays inside an old ass vampire they remain alive human. But if a 500 year old vampire gets the cure sucked out of his system completely, that vampire ages and dies. But if it's a newbie vampire who is a couple years old getting the cure out of their system they would be fine since it's only a couple of years.

I love this season, I can’t believe there’s just 5 episodes left

I really feel like they overdid the humanity switch thing. We’ve seen it happen with Stefan, and at the time it was new and fresh and exciting. Then they did it with Elena and it brought us on a new path, which I think worked as well. But to not only have Caroline turn it off, but then have Stefan switch off AGAIN is just beating a dead horse imo. It starts to become gimmicky. Even the way they turned it into a formulaic thing where you have to find someone’s “emotional trigger”, like what? Since when was there one person designed to switch someone’s humanity back on? It just becomes a frustrating plot device, and I feel like they only do it to appease Paul bc they know he likes playing the bad guy. Anyways, still love the ep LOL

I agree it has been done maybe one too many times on this show but it’s still always fascinating to me to see the change in each character that goes through it and it’s interesting to see Caroline go through it since she never had the “opportunity” to do it in earlier seasons lol. It makes sense though that characters would have an emotional trigger person. Elena had Matt which I loved. It’s a convenient cure and plot device but I still like it because it’s very human. Imagine if there were no emotional trigger at all for them then it would be nearly impossible to ever bring them back. An emotional trigger means they still have a small spark of humanity in them at all times no matter how evil they become, which is so hopeful to me😄
