I actually felt the opposite you did lol. When you said "terrible brother" I was shocked because I feel like it was the other way around. Although I wouldn't have pushed Sam out to be killed, I definitely wouldn't have stuck around aftering finding out that they weren't after me. Why be stupid for fun? Lol. I would've helped from a far. I actually thought it was weird how willing Deena was to let her kid brother be involved with something like this once the killers started coming after them. She loves Sam, and that's great but she was putting her brother in danger as well. I was so upset when Kate died honestly because she was right when she said "you're willing to let us all die to save her." I get the sentiment and the romance but 1 person dying is better than 5, which includes her little brother so yeah I was with the group on that one😂😂😂. But this trilogy is honestly great and I think part 2 is my personal favorite! R.I.P Kate and Simon!

If it was Kate who needed to die in order for everyone else to live I don’t think Josh would let her die. He’d try to do whatever he could to save her. But because it was someone he didn’t care about he was willing to let Sam die especially because it was what Kate wanted and wanted to please Kate. But he’s a child. They’re all children, but it’s harder to do what Deena did than take the easy route that the others wanted because they were scared.

Yeah maybe, but if it was Kate I would've said the same thing. Like I said, I wouldn't push her out to die but I'm not dying for my friends girlfriend/boyfriend. "Easy" route or not, staying is what got Simon and Kate killed. It was just shocking that at the end there, Deena even put Sams blood on Josh (they all had it) but it's just interesting how she was willing to put her brothers life in danger, knowing that the killers would come barreling after him. I agree, that definitely is the harder decision to make, but not necessarily the best thing to do in my opinion. You'd think at the very least her family would come first, if not her friends. Deena just really rubbed me the wrong way in this first movie, but that's just me. But I like them overall. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Yeah the thing is no one was asking anyone to die for Sam. Once they realized it was about her blood they all could have chosen to leave. Its just that they didn’t want to leave Deena probably. But they shouldn’t have expected Deena to feel the same way they did. She was in love. Josh was old enough to make his own decisions and he did. He chose to stay and put on the blood to act as a distraction. In the end they all made their own choices. It just worked out better for some and not others.
