Right but I figured Dahlia had a mystical way of knowing whether a child was alive or not otherwise how would she even know if a Mikaelson was going to have a child in the first place? Esther was supposedly worried about Dahlia coming for them unless she killed Hope but Dahlia hasn’t shown her face to anyone so how would she even know about a first born child unless it’s by magical means?

So no Dahlia didn't need Freya to make Esther fertile. This was before the kids were even born. Esthers sacrifice was that she needed to give up her firstborn and the firstborn of every generation. The focus there was on firstborn. Dahlia herself is older than Esther so either she is the first born or definitely older than her. So the firstborns seem somewhat valuable to Dahlia. Why ? Thats what we need to find out. Witches talk, that probably a way for Dahlia to know :) Esther, even though dead, had kept her connections and found multiple ways to come back from the dead ... Dahlia could make Esther fertile so if she wanted to be fertile she could probably have done it herself And witches can be killed by any knife, they are just as mortal than humans.

I don't think it's a spoiler, but since everyone in Mikaelson family have witch heritage, Dahlia senses a child when he/she shows signs of magic.

Right so why can’t she sense if a child is alive or not? It’s been months since Esther tried to attack Hope. It shouldn’t matter if everyone says she died. A witch should be able to sense Hope’s energy.

I’m still confused. How did Dahlia not need Freya in order to make Esther fertile? Wasn’t Freya Esther’s first born? Isn’t that the sacrifice that she had to make? The price? If Dahlia didn’t need Freya why did she take her? Didn’t she use dark magic in order to make Esther fertile and since it was dark magic a sacrifice was required meaning a debt had to be paid meaning a first born child? It’s a pact.

I also have issues with my father choosing to leave so I can understand why Klaus is so angry. It’s the fact that he didn’t fight to be in his life at all that sucks. He simply backed away because he was asked to. That’s just not good enough imo especially for a werewolf. But he seems like he would have been such a great influence in Klaus’ early life. These past few episodes have been so good this might be my favourite season. I can’t wait to see your upcoming reactions!

In the season 1 finale, Klaus said Marcel asked for vials of his blood in exchange for them compelling his memories of Hope away. That's why he has his blood :) Also, if you have the time, can we get a double upload next week?
