Surprise return of Boba Fett from the originals here-- as you recalled, his father was Jango Fett from the prequels (played by the same actor, Temura Morrison), and that Boba was a young clone back then. In terms of him losing his armour; the last time we saw him was when Luke sent him falling into Jabba the Hutt's Sarlacc pit. We can presume he escaped, somehow, at which the Jawas must've thieved from him, and later sold that armour to Cobb Vanth in Season 2 Episode 1. There's some fun detail on Boba's face, with him being scarred and paler, due to his time in the Sarlacc, which was said to digest you for a while! It's very coincidental that you bring up about what happened to the Clones, as there's currently an animated Star Wars series called 'The Bad Batch' covering exactly that!
