I think that Haley was more okay with killing the other werewolves but not Oliver b/c Oliver was apart of HER pack - the crescent wolf clan - while the other werewolves she killed were apart of the Guerrera Pack

I think that another reason that they waited so long to attack the Guerrera pack was because they hadn't located all of the rings. At the beginning of this episode, we see Elijah finally locate the 12th and last ring. So, they were able to attack them all at once. Also, they mention that they are attempting to "sell their grief" by locking down their house and not really coming out (or allowing people in - as we saw with Cami). Then there was the concern of the white oak stake. Additionally, they mentioned the strategy of making Francesca go crazy waiting for them to strike. Overall, I think that they COULD have gone after them earlier, strike them one by one, etc, however, I also don't see why they had to rush into it. They knew the Guerrera's couldn't kill them or anything so, playing it safe makes sense to me.

I don't think that leaving the city would solve all of the Michaelson's problems. The reason they faked Hope's death wasn't just because of the threats directly in the city. It was because they knew that the witches (and other enemies of the family) would follow them OUT of the city in order to get at Hope. In the season finale, Elijah suggested that they all leave, but Haley and Klaus said no b/c they knew that they would be hunted.

Totally agree with ur comparison to game of thrones in regards to the vying for power. This is one of the reasons I love this show. I love how all of the different factions (werewolves, vampires, witches, humans, the original family) intersect in this city and fight for it.

I loved the themes of family this episode. When Marcel was trying to explain what a warrior was to Josh and Klaus finishes Marcel's speech by saying to Josh that a warrior fights for his family. I love how both Marcel and Klaus are shown to think similarly about that. Also loved Klaus's speech to Haley when he says "We defeated my mother, and her witches, because we stood united. That is how we will face all our enemies. As a family". I love that Klaus includes Haley in the family.

I think that Elijah speaks better with his actions than with his words in regards to Haley. He doesn't say anything in that moment to her but 1. he left Francesca for Haley to kill and 2. he spent all episode trying to get Klaus to talk to Haley and comfort her (b/c he knows that Klaus is the only one who can truly understand what she is going through - as both a parent and a hybrid).

I was looking forward to your reaction to the Kol reveal. Not disappointed at all😂 I love these actors who play Kol and Finn so I’m excited to see your opinions on them. And yes it’s great that Klaus is taking accountability but nothing would’ve stopped the witches and they have like a billion other enemies. I don’t fully understand the plan with the Guerrera’s but I like that they waited months purely because we see how different each character is due to grief.

This is when Cami really started to get on my nerves. I know it’s fiction. But sometimes you just HAVE to wonder who you’d react in certain situations. And like you said, I think it’d be mighty difficult to just RETURN to life as you knew it before you knew supernaturals existed. How do you just DO normal when you know there are people with fangs and claws and magic of all kinds? She’s delusional. After everything she’s seen. You don’t just go BACK to a normal human life after hooking up with a vampire for months. It just doesn’t make sense. And the more she pulls away, the more it sucks her back in. And I can actually understand Marcel’s deal with STAYING in New Orleans, even when he basically has no reason to be. Yea he can literally go anywhere else. But. I think in his mind he’s thinking Where do you find another New Orleans? ACTUALLY you know what??? Marcel and Caroline have the same complex. They LOVE where they came up. Everybody else is content to move on and away from it. But, they can’t see themselves anywhere else. They’re the type of people that see all the remarkable things about their homes, that no one else can. And everybody gives them shit for it. That they can literally go anywhere in the world and start over. But, they’re homebodies. Why would they wanna start over when they are perfectly comfortable in their respective homes?

I think Klaus and Hayley avoided each other because they remind each other of Hope and it makes them super sad :(

I love how your so conflicted about Davina breaking the sired link. 😂😂 So, let’s me conflict you some more #oops. Davina to Mikeal: Not until I figure out how to save my friends from dying, too. Once I unlink my friends from Klaus' sire line. She’s not trying to remove every vampire from Klaus sire line but just her friends aka Josh, and Marcel. She’s doesn’t care nor know about the existence of the mystic falls gang. To quote Klaus himself, everyone else is know as collateral damage.

I knew she only cared about unlinking her friends but I figured she’d have to unlink every vampire from Klaus in the process. Wishful thinking I guess.
