Average episode imo until the ending with the connection to the Doctors face. He finally knows why he has this face and its to remind him to save people.. couldve done with this a season earlier but there ya go 😅 The hybrid was mentioned by Davros in the 2nd episode; 2 warrior races forced together ect. Ashildir is an interesting one, we do see her again. This was filmed in the off season between series 4 and 5 of GoT in 2014. Major HP and GoT actor crossovers throughout Who, which are fun when they happen.

I love how important Donna is. Not just in how she helped people but her influence on the Doctor. She was the driving force for him to do as much as he can to save people when he wasn’t in a good place and it stuck. It’s crazy to think that Doctors choose their faces. After what 11 went through in his final episodes and Trenzalore it makes sense for him to need a reminder so he doesn’t remain hardened. I like thinking of why each Doctor chose their faces. David Tennant’s face so he could be the charming young man for Rose. Matt Smiths face because Tennant didn’t want to go just yet and their both quite young. Peter Capaldi because he needed a reminder to be kind after going through a war and so he wasn’t seen as “Clara’s boyfriend”. Also, Donna is my favourite companion so I have to give it up to her heavy here hahah!

I am not a big fan of this story... I thought I preferred Season 9 to Season 8, but I'm finding on a rewatch that I actually prefer Season 8 now.

I like this one a lot, but not so much the 'second part'. I prefer to think of this one as its own story, with the next episode as its sequel. I think it would have worked better if the next episode had been later in the season.

For all Fake Odin knew, the video could have already been set to go live unless they intervened. Kind of a 'dead man switch' type arrangement. I believe that blackmailers often make arrangements for material to be released if something happens to them.
