What an interesting episode, I love Stefan's character so much, his complexity and his struggle, this episode was such a fresh view of his character, Damon is such a strange character, I am very surprised by his character this season so far, I feel as if the last four season were a journey for him about his relationship with his brother I feel like he finally knows where he stands with Stefan, how he feels toward him, how he went from being angry and have all this resentment against him and wanting to make him pay for all that, to understand his feelings I feel like he knows now how much he loves him and that he stands beside him, yeah they have their issue with Elena but he doesn't seem to push that on Stefan at all as he did it with Katherine. I feel as if now is Stefan's turn to figure out where he stands with Damon, how he feels towards him and I am excited to see that. Because I feel like Damon understands his brother very well now, he knows his ways and his issues his regrets, and guilt and he accepts it, I want to know what Stefan thinks of Damon and how he feels about that. Bonnie is the best I want a friend like Bonnie she is so selfless.

I just wish elena didn’t lead him on there and try and recreate moments of their relationship. But I understand the writers probably wanted to tease people. I would’ve preferred more emotional beats with Damon instead. Finally everyone knows about Bonnie but it is so sad. I just want her to think of herself for once.

Yah, if you pay close attention Damon read all of Stefan’s journals. He always had one in his hand when they were just sitting around. He pretty much memorized them as you see him mouthing the words in this episode when Stefan is reading them. Whenever anything goes on where his journals were needed Damon always knew which one to grab.

I really love the directing of this episode. The cinematic zoom-in on the brothers after they crash, the beautiful shot of Bonnie and Jeremy holding hands while the others mourn, it’s really artistic.
