So glad you're enjoying this. I've seen comments from others saying they were disappointed, but I think that's because they were expecting a repeat of Hill House. Bly Manor is a very different story, with different themes and concepts. While Hill House was about grief and how people process it, I feel Bly Manor is about different forms of love- the toxic, possessive love between Pete and Rebecca, for instance. It's also worth noting that while the overall story is broadly based on Henry James' A Turn of the Screw, each of the episode titles is named after one of his short stories, and contain plot elements and and themes from those stories. By the way, Oliver Jackson-Cohen (Peter Quint) is English, so this is not his native accent. He is doing an excellent job with the Scottish accent, though. And Hannah's surname is Grose (not Grace). Great reaction and commentary, as always. Looking forward to the rest.

I’m loving this season. Probably because I’m used to toxic relationships because I’m watching The Vampire Diaries as well😂 I’d let Oliver Jackson-Cohen and his fake Scottish accent manipulate me in my dreams though lol. Oh Grose is Hannah’s last name. I feel like I knew that but feel like I heard Grace too. Weird. This show’s playing tricks on me.
