As much as I enjoyed the US version, it rarely really hit me in the feels like the original - it's a slow build this first season, but I like that they take their time.

It's been a while since I watched this show, so I'm really glad to watch it again with you (one of the reasons I increased my tier on you channel, along with Broadchurch and Haunting of Bly Manor). While ostensibly about vampires and werewolves etc, it is really about friendship and relationships. As for Doctor Who links, I'm not sure if you noticed, but Annie was also in an episode of DW - Gridlock in series 4. In fact, it is becoming hard to find a British actor who hasn't been in Doctor Who at some point in the last 57 years!
