I live for Pam and Eric flashbacks. Poor Jason btw, teenage boys are children too.

Agreed. And she is no less of a rapist just because she's female. We know that when the Stackhouse parents died, Jason was almost 11 and Sookie was just turned 8. So.. just over 2 years difference? I'm trying to work things out, how old he would have been. In Season 1, Sookie was 25? First time she went to Fangtasia and got carded, Pam comments on her age. So at that point he was 27-ish. Sookie lost a year in the faerie world so that adds another year on right there. I don't know how long Seasons 2, 3 and 4 took. Just before he and Andy confronted Maryann (or tried to), Jason said "I'm having knee issues and I ain't even 30 yet!" That was the end of Season 2. We also don't know if she abused him the last time they met or whether he saw her after that. But if it's been 15 years since her saw her, he surely can't have been more than 16 when she abused him, and he could have been even younger than that. Furthermore, if she was his teacher, it wouldn't even matter if he had reached the age of consent. She was in a position of trust and power, and she violated that. I don't care if he had a major crush on her, which I'm sure he did. Kids have crushes on their teachers all the time and it's the teacher's job to maintain that distance. Poor guy. When I realised what had happened to him I wanted to give him a hug. To me, it made so much sense. Jason does seem to tie his worth to sex, like that's all he thinks he's good for. And I am aware that this way of thinking is one of several possible reactions a person can have after being molested as a child.

I'd say that Sookie killing Debbie was self-defense, I'm with you on this one. But I know Sookie doesn't feel that way and I understand that too. She *did* hesitate. There was a definite gap between getting the gun and deciding to use it. But what was she going to do, really? Let Debbie up? This is the second time Debbie had come after her personally with lethal force, and she clearly meant business because she'd just shot Tara in the head. I don't know if Sookie knew Debbie was back on the V. She might not have had time to think about it, but if she'd worked it out, she'd have been a complete fool NOT to kill her. Debbie could have wiped the floor with her and Sookie hadn't had any vampire blood for a while. At this point though, there's nothing Sookie can do. I think self-defense would have been a perfectly reasonable argument in this situation. Unfortunately, it stops being seen as a reasonable argument when you pile your attacker and her brains onto a shower curtain and get rid of the body. That doesn't look good.
