This is probably the weakest of the specials but I still find it to be fun and entertaining. I like how this is basically the opposite of Midnight with the passengers being more reasonable. I think you might have missed it but Doctor even references Midnight by saying "Oh human on buses always blaming me!" I like most of the supporting cast especially Malcom and it's good to see Captain Mugambo again who previously appeared in Turn Left. I also like the presence of UNIT. This is the first episode of Doctor Who to be filmed in HD as well as being the 200th episode hence why the bus is called 200. Lady Christina got her spin off series in audio form with Big Finish in 2018. I haven't listened to or purchased it myself so I don't know how it turned out but that seems like a effective way of developing one off characters. Very much looking forward to you seeing the next special.

This one is very silly but it’s quite fun imo. I think at the time people were happy to get any episode because there wasn’t a series in 2009. It was quite a dry year, like this episode hehe

Definitely one for the kids, no problem with that - the show is a family show after all. Not one of my favourites. It’s pretty lightweight and fluffy. It was nice to see the Doctor had learnt his lesson from Midnight on how to control a bus of panicked people.

Excellent summing up. "This episode was a drought of emotion. A drought of everything!". If I ever write a review of this story,I'd love to use those lines :D. It's really only the psychics premonition that lends this story any substance - and at least leaves us with a dark, intriguing note.

Something of a light filler episode, but a bit of family fun while the series was effectively in recess. The desert scenes were filmed in Dubai, and they actually shipped the bus from the UK for filming. Originally, the bus wasn't meant to be damaged, but it got crushed by a shipping container in transit so they rewrote the script to take account for it.

I share your reaction to this episode. In fact everytime I watch it, it loses my interest half way through and I tune in and out a various points. This might be the first time I've paid attention all the way through since my first ever viewing. Your screaming at the scream helped a lot. 🤣🤣🤣 Malcom is played by Stand up Comedian and actor Lee Evan's. He was in Mouse Hunt, The Fifth Element and Something about Mary. Michelle Ryan I know from her TV Soap role in Eastenders. She also starred as The Bionic Woman in a American TV that was axed due to the fact not enough people watched it. There's a lot blar about this special. I've just noticed upon this viewing... Funny how on a spaceship made for Aliens with Fly heads, there was a comm system that fits human shaped ears. Or did I doze off and miss something. 🤔

Pretty much agree it's just a fun little okay episode although Michelle Ryan is so wickedly beautiful to see so that's always nice. But like it's previously mentioned, there was no series in 2009 so I think this special was receive more highly back then and not so much as time passes. That being said, I anxiously await the reactions to the remaining specials because like their title I believe your reactions to those episodes will be just as special. Too exciting .....
