I would still like to say that Lip does a lot, as same as Ian, in truth they all even work as you saw Debbie babysitting to save money, Lip is second after Fiona and when that she's not the one who makes the decisions, it's him or at least he always supports her when there are problems especially with regard to Frank and Monica. So even though we don't see it all the time Lip is still making money (usually illegally) but the money she used was based on the money everyone brings back including Lip and like you saw he came up with a scheme to pay what she couldn't, so I understand that for him and all the family members who also work that she uses this money without even consulting them or even Lip that was not correct.
