D&D is ultimately a social improvisation game, both in combat to improvise clever solutions to goblin-related problems, or in roleplay by interacting with each other and building narratives together. This also comes with its own sets of problems, when everyone is bringing their own expectations and ideas to the table, they will inevitably conflict.
