I'm so glad to see you upload GoT so much, means you probably enjoy it a lot? Can't WAIT to see you react to some specific episodes/scenes of season 6 and 7 (people will know what I mean), it's the closest I got to experiencing it for the first time again. Enjoy it man, you're really lucky you still have some of those first time watching moments ahead of you lmao (which sadly includes some of the other side of the coin, s8 cough cough lol - better form your own opinion first tho tbh).

Stannis is a fantastic take on the saviour archetype. He truly believes that Westeros is doomed if he doesn’t become King. The whole time we’ve been watching him he’s been faced with decision that boil down to how far would you go to save the world? Send thousands of men to their deaths? Cheat on your wife? Murder your brother? Sacrifice your daughter? In the end, can we even call him a saviour when he’s done all these horrific things?

If I'm remembering correctly, there's no attack from the Sons of the Harpy in the books. Their demands seem to have been met to a certain extent by this point in the story (they were a lot less chaotic in the books than the show). Someone (we don't know who) poisons Daenerys so there IS an assassination attempt. Drogon does arrive at the pit to feed on the corpses and gets attacked by the pit fighters. He doesn't recognise Daenerys and even attempts to kill her (she's not fireproof in the books, luckily the fire blasts misses her). You'll also be happy to know that Shireen is very much alive in the books 😂

Stannis has always been cold. He killed his own brother

I love how this episode takes you low emotionally then it ends on such a wonderful high. First time I saw the ending I literally cried tears of joy!

Mother's Day was 4 days ago. Selyse was not a good mom. In S5 ep2, ironically Shireen's mother Selyse warned her to stay away from Gilly because Gilly might try to kill her out of revenge for Stannis killing Wildlings. Shireen: Gilly wouldn't do that. Selyse: You have no idea what people will do. Father's Day is coming soon. Here are some of their speeches. Stannis explaining to Shireen why he didn't abandon her as a baby even though the she was infected with greyscale: 'Everyone advised me to send you to the ruins of Valyria to live out your short life with the stone men'. 'I told them all to go to hell'. 'You were the Princess Shireen of House Baratheon. AND YOU ARE MY DAUGHTER'. And yet, he was willing to sacrifice her. Tywin gave Tyrion a similar speech in S3 ep10 explaining why he didn't abandon Tyrion after discovering that he was a dwarf and caused the death of his wife during childbirth: 'I wanted to carry you into the sea and let the waves wash you away. Instead, I let you live and I brought you up as my son, BECAUSE YOU'RE A LANNISTER.' And yet, he was willing to let Tyrion die for a crime he didn't commit. Roose Botlon in S5 ep5 also gave Ramsey a nice fatherly speech about his mother: '...A year later she came to my gates with a squalling baby in her arms she claimed was mine. I nearly had her whipped and the child thrown in the river. But then I looked at you and I saw then what I see now. YOU ARE MY SON.' We'll have to wait and see how that goes.

Drogon can apparently sense when Daenerys is in trouble. When Daenerys sentenced that guy to death and the people turned on her and started throwing things at her, Drogon appeared later on the roof of the castle, then flew away again. I think she also has the ability to summon her dragons, but I don't know if she's aware of that ability at this point. Seeing Drogn appear at the fighting pit and seeing Daenerys ride away on him was the first time I jumped out of my seat and cheered during this whole show. I never really liked Stannis from the start. I'm glad you finally came around.

Stannis was one of my favorites in season 2. Now he can burn in hell. Him vs Ramsey is like Stalin vs Hitler lol. That one breaks me every time though. She was such a sweet girl. That cut scene from that to Mereen is nuts. Jorah sure did fight well. The Bravos guy was the best though. Only lost cause he got stabbed in the back. Can't wait for the next one bro.

So close to season 6 which I always really love to rewatch the most. If you don't mind sharing some non spoiler quotes to come for next season. "The past is already written. The ink is dry" "I wonder if you're the worst person I've ever met" "This is your god now" "62" "Promise me" No order to any of those just random lines. I hope don't mind little nuggets to make brain tick 😅

In this whole rewatch for me, since season two, I've **hated** Stannis, Melisandre, and that lord of light theme. Just saw this episode and was like - ohhhhhh right, now I remember why. I also think about this scene when Varys talks about how dangerous it would be to have Malisandre near the iron throne when he and Tyrion are talking about Blackwater.

Seriously one of my favorite episodes of the series. I get chills every time Daenerys climbs on to Drogon and flies away, so incredibly epic.

The guy fighting Jorah on the 1v1 The 2nd last guy, the one who cut his face… He’s a bravosi water dancer, The fighting style of Arya When they announced a GOT prequel, fans wanted different things. Some wanted to see Roberts rebellion Some wanted to see aegon’s conquest, And others wanted to see the dance of dragons aka the Targaryen civil war. When they announced when it was set and the names of the lead characters, people knew what story they were adapting. On the slim chance you don’t know which one, I won’t spoil…. But there was a clip in 3x4 where Joffrey drops some spoilers about house of the dragon. All the clues are there if you want to know which story they’re adapting. Personally I found knowing the broad storyline for all three histories, made me more excited for the show when I found out which one. Some things are spoiled but not everything, and some things I think will happen turn out not to be true, because the book that the prequel is based on, isn’t written by GRRM, it’s written by a maester in the GOT universe, decades after the events, so some things he gets wrong…. The unreliable narrator, what’s in the book is what the history of the events are believed to have been, What the GOT characters read, is what we read. But what’s in the show is actually what happened, In real (GOT) life.

Only rooting for Stannis to take down the Boltons and then after that I don't care what happens to him LMAO

Andrew Clifton

Yea that's how I felt at this stage lol. Like is there some way they can defeat the Boltons but Stannis dies lol.
