alright, so I got some nice tips from the creator of wildlife(dude uses maya) on how to setup files when animating in maya, to easily make updates and changes(referencing) which ive started testing out. ive had some minor issues, but after 2 days of just testing around and seeing how it works, ive managed to get rid of all the issues i had (mainly super slow saving times) 

Ive also split all my ocs and npcs into their own files so i can just load them ontop of my rig rather then have them all lay semi dead in the same file making the file huge, and giving me retarded saving times.

Taking my time a bit with this animationg while learning new concepts. My main goal with my animations now that i use maya is to make them very easy to swap characters across races, so need to make some overall workflow changes, but itll be worth it in the end :) I think once ive finished this animation, and learnt what I need to, ill be back to my usual animating speed
