As some of you may know, I'm from Chile, a country in South America. And today, October 16, we celebrate teacher's day. I think I missed the worldwide date, haha.

So I just wanted to take this oportunity to say that, despite the things I write with teachers in my stories, I have nothing but the utmost respect for the profession. I speak from experience. It's difficult, it's stressing and kids can and will be a fucking nightmare in one way or another. Yet it can also be extremely rewarding.

I want to make clear that, even if I write student-teacher relationships in my stories, I do not endorse it in real life. It's wrong for mostly obvious reasons, especially so when students are underage. I just think it's a fun topic to play with in fiction. It's the beauty of writing and reading. We can indulge in things we know we wouldn't do in real life.

I only hope at least some of the respect I have for teachers can be seen in what I write, even if only a little. And hey, if by chance there're any teachers reading this, happy teacher's day!

You have written Emma and Mia to be very kind, supportive people. They are definitely good teachers, I reckon your respect is definitely shown in them :)
