The subject of this week has been a particular pink lizard of mine, Tula

New Friends WIP

Still gradually working on my half of an art trade little by little

Procreate and sketching

I've had an iPad for a number of years now and Procreate and I never got along. Something about the brush engine and fairly basic feature set never sat right with me (as someone coming from Photoshop). But this week I finally found a couple of brushes that felt less awkward to use, so I decided to use it as my sketch pad this week.

Many chee shaped heads. This was my first set of sketches. When I sketch, on the advice of other artists, I'm trying to limit the amount of time spent on each one (2 minutes tops) while also trying to make each line I make count. Its difficult to wrap my head around because my usual workflow is much different and I'm VERY BAD at it, but if I keep at it I'm sure it'll help me improve other aspects of my art :D

lizzers. I should mention I'm using a mix of photo refs and my own recollection while doing this. Using references is always great, but sometimes drawing from imagination is useful for seeing how much you're actually retaining. Amusingly, the ones I did without references in this batch I like the most

YEENS. lots of yeener heads. I've always struggled to get the shape of yeen heads, usually defaulting to something dog-like when in reality they're not quite doglike. Also ears, yeener ears

That's all for this week, as usual poke around the Discord for more frequent updates if you please
