This episode was probably such a call out to the fandom. Whether it is people saying the show was ruined when Twilight got wings or when Lauren Faust (the creator of the show) left the team, or people saying that you had to enjoy the show as a whole, there was a lot of elitist behavior claiming that you aren't a true fan if you aren't enjoying the show how a certain subgroup of the fandom wants you to. And that's not even a phenomenon unique to the brony fandom either. It's just nice when a show takes the time to call people out on it. Wish more shows would do that.

Carrot dogs have been a thing for a long time in mlp lol. Thanks for pointing that out, I thought they simply grilled them lol Sidenote, because of seeing grilled carrots in mlp, I tried grilling carrots They're pretty good actually, essentially just like, cooked carrot, so, sweet if you like that Quibble pants is a background pony that grows on you.. This episode is not where that happens lol Anyways, this episode in relation to G5. Compared to G4, G5 is a huge step down, (or at least, a huge step sideways from what us bronies wanted and expected) it's hard to not get mad at it, and give it the good ol "I refuse to acknowledge the existence of it" But really, it would be great, and kinda is already, but would be better, if they weren't trying to tie it into the same world as G4 so hard. They changed the writing team, and the new writers just don't have the in-depth knowledge they need to avoid continuity issues. Well, at least one writer does, but they're either missing a few things here and there, or aren't being given the authority they need to make sure mistakes aren't made. Anyways, unfortunately, all the pushback from the fandom has contributed to Hasbro moving the show from 3d episodic to 2d shorts style after this first year of G5. And well, with the release of the latest chapter of G5, chapter 5, we're seeing that the writing team for G5 is fixing a lot of the problems they were having originally, and are really putting in some *really good* callbacks and stuff for us theorists to work with. Advancements that might be undone when they're moved to fully 5 minute episodes, or, they might be able to make it work even better, with more budget and time being able to be put towards the story planning. Who knows For me personally, I like this episode's lesson in relation to Equestria Girls and the comics. When EG came out, many bronies refused to acknowledge it, at least as canon lol. It took the G4 team actually bringing Sunset into the show as a background character later to actually get people to be like "Ok.. I guess it's official" *despite it, in my humble opinion, having none of the confliction with the show people seemed to see in it lol* Sorta the same for the comics, most anybody who tries to bring up and talk about the comics in the fandom will kinda get shouted out of the room. Lotta people don't like em, and I personally am not a huge fan of comics in general, though I've liked the mlp comics I've read so far. But the thing is, the lack of respect people in a fandom, this one or any other, have for members of the same fandom who like some aspect of the franchise's content Examples in this fandom being people who like Pony Life, G5, the Comics, or EG, or the first few seasons of G4, or the later seasons of G4, or the people who like x character, or who dislike y character, or have recolor ocs (that's more prevalent in the sonic fandom I think lol) But for me, someone who likes the show for it's messages in friendship, and getting together to make the world a better, brighter place, seeing others in the fandom draw these arbitrary lines between their members just frustrates me. How could they, in all their fanfare, and obsession of the show, miss what the message of the show was, and is. RD and Quibble liking different aspects of Daring Do, is a position for discussion, not a friendship breaker
