NO SPOILERS! -Great fandom meme once we got our hands on that line "I wouldn't say 'all over Equestria', I only have 3 boutiques" Yeah sure Rarity, sure Anywho, this is one of my favorite episodes, and not just because it's another milestone in Rarity's frankly incredible career, and displays her character growth towards becoming less of a drama queen and holding herself together under pressure better. I mean, not a single chaise lounge to be seen in this episode. Though, both of those help.. This episode has a great lesson, for one. All my friends are online, and I honestly don't have many, so the experience of my friends being able to help me with stuff is unfortunately alien.. I can experience it vicariously through this episode at least. But there's another moral, that being "If someone asks you for help, or input on something, don't try to do exactly what they would do. First, you can't, cause you aren't them, but second, they asked for your help for a reason" Like how Rarity asked Fluttershy to help with the Raccoons. Twilight, Applejack, or Rainbow Dash could have solved the problem pretty quick and easily, but Rarity chose Fluttershy for the job, presumably because she wanted the problem to be handled ethically and empathetically, rather than simply "get them out" And, of course, you caught a third moral that I didn't, of expectations vs reality, and making things work despite unforeseen hiccups You know an mlp episode is good when it not only shows character development for it's main character, spawns a fandom meme, and not one, not two, but three solid morals. I also like the subtle implication that Rarity read all the way through that disaster, including getting locked in the window display, and didn't loose her marbles. Again, more great character growth. She kept it in her mind that everything turned out alright in the end, and her friends made it possible. Rocky road? Sure. But, her friends made it happen

Athena

This is one of my favorite episodes in the whole show! I loved the presentation, the execution, the continuity, and of course the 10/10 comedy and characterization throughout the episode. It felt like there were no plotholes or out-of-character moments (something increasingly common as the later seasons go on, unfortunately,) and honestly it was just a really fun, well-made episode. There are some silly parts to it, but overall I feel like It was such a good episode to show Rarity's growth and include her friends in an organic and well-written way. Plus, the animation and character expressions were SO good in this episode. The moment where Rainbow says "This couch? Not clothes" is probably the hardest I laughed at a joke in this show in a while. Her expression afterwards just absolutely sells it.
