If you were talking about Coltchella, the Harmonycon music festival, it was a ton of fun last year. They had a pretty epic cast of brony musicians and a really impressive assortment of lesser known musicians as well. A good number of the brony musicians you've reacted to were there this year, and any luck next year too. Something else interesting about managers and bands asking for ridiculous things, a lot of them do it because they're jerks, but one of the most infamous ones had an interesting reason. Van Halen was renowned for the "bowl of M&Ms with no brown M&Ms" on a condition that if they didn't have it their contract would be voided and they'd have to be paid in full. So you don't give us our M&Ms, we get paid in full and leave. The reason for this is because they had a LOT of stipulations in their contract, many of which were things like how the stage had to be assembled and constructed. They brought in a lot of their own heavy equipment, lights and sound equipment, and if they didn't get their M&Ms they knew that the venue didn't read the contract so their stage managers/crew would go through everything in the facility making sure it'd actually be safe for them to have that much weight on it when playing. It was kind of a cheeky safety thing on their end.

There are few things in this world that cause me to involuntarily put my hand over my heart. Magpies are one of them lol, but another are the last two songs of this episode. Truly beautiful. Rara is definitely one of my favorite background ponies. She has a great character design, and is well fleshed out as a pop star who uses their talent and fame to make the world a better place. This episode does an excellent job of telling essentially the full story of her life and who she is all in one neat package. As another note, both Rara and Rarity had good points in defending Svengallop. He really was half of the show, and put in a *lot* of work, so he kinda did deserve the same or similar benefits to those Rara gets. (though of course, Rara's needs were defined ahead of time, whereas Svengallop's were brought up too late to be reasonably accommodated) Where Svengallop was out of line, was in the threatening. At the end of the day, he's #2 in this business, not #1 So he has to follow what Rara wants, and her morals (Also, I'm pretty sure that Coloratura's nickname, and Rarity's name being similar is not coincidence)

It's true that some bands would have crazy stipulations purely to check venues were reading their contracts, but it turns out the famous Van Halen example is actually a retcon: https://www.snackstack.net/p/in-search-of-van-halens-brown-m-and And, hey, I would have brought it up myself had I not just read this article yesterday (hence I still had it on hand), so, like, no accusations or shaming meant here, but it's super interesting to read about! I love this episode because of that second-last song, I always forget its name, but it's definitely up there as one of the best of the series.

I love this episode so much! It's sad that Rara is a one time character. She is really cool! I love her so much!

I love that when a pony is doing the thing that their cutie mark represents and they are so into it, basically in "the zone" the cutie mark glows. We saw it with Diamond Tiara in Crusaders of the Lost Mark. And again here. Not every pony can and/or will have this happen. But it's awesome when it does happen. With Diamond Tiara I think it happened because she re-learned what her cutie mark meant and therefore, when she was using her special talent in the way that is most true to herself, her mark shone. She basically got her cutie mark a second time. That's also the beauty of the CMCs. Helping a pony re-get their cutie mark. It's beautiful. The reason Rara's cutie mark shines is a combination, when she sings and she is using her talent in a way that is most true to herself it glows, but also, any light that is shining around her will make the mark shimmer too. But only when she is in that "zone." Like, at the beginning, in her first song, there were lights but her cutie mark wasn't shimmering. It's because she wasn't singing from the heart. When she sang from the heart at the end, her cutie mark glowed for the first time in a long time. I really like the concept of a pony's cutie mark glowing when they are using their talent in this way. If you couldn't tell.
