Sharing Heart

Negative emotions are sadly often underappreciated despite them being so important. Twilight's plan to have Starlight and Sunburst become better friends by sharing embarrassments and regrets from their past actually has a lot of merit. When you are vulnerable with someone, and you see that it's actually okay to be vulnerable with that person, it can help form powerful bonds. Fostering an environment where it's okay to share those "bad" feelings is very healthy. I've met plenty of people who refuse to do so, and they end up with immense anxiety, especially when it comes to social interactions, simply because they can't allow themselves to share their negativity. Still, in the end, it's quite a gamble. If you never share your negative emotions with others, your relationships will be shallow or one-sided at best. But if you do share them, that vulnerability opens you up to being hurt. And yet, anyone who seeks meaningful relationships while refusing to share their negative emotions is doomed to an eternal fruitless pursuit.

Notice Starlight's mane style change from the ending of season 5 to this season. It suits her way better! It represents her change from a dictator that bordered on a cult leader, to a pony that is finally moving on from a childhood "trauma" and accepting friendship. Also, I wanna point out that her new mane style kinda looks like her cutie mark.

I have similar problems with music. I know the theory the technicalities of playing piano. But when it comes to timing, my ability is lacking. However, I can keep time with percussion perfectly. It's odd, to say the least. Also, with piano, I find it difficult to get the flow of the sheet music I'm reading right. I mean to say, I can identify the notes. I can tell that they are eighth notes and quarter notes. But when I try to play them as such, I can't find the way the way it's supposed to sound. And that's my main problem. Because I know what each key does, I know how long each note is, but when it comes down to it, finding the flow is hard. It's hard to explain in words. It's something you almost have to hear. lol
