Don't question the abilities of Pinkie Pie. I love Pinkie Pie. She destroys the laws of physics at times and it's amazing!

I think the way Pinkie and RD started out pranking in this episode is the good kind of pranks. I used to try too hard to insert myself into a group of friends, or become the third wheel. (I was not a popular kid and didn't have ANY social skills) In Pinkie's case though, she wanted to hang with one of her best friends and Gilda kept pulling Dash away. AAAAAND Gilda was mean. I agree with everything Pinkie did this episode. And I love what RD did to Gilda at the party. (Even though she says she didn't mean for Gilda to set off all the pranks.)

I think with pranks, as with any kind of joke, it comes down to whether or not the victim also finds it funny. I've often said that the difference between a comedian and a bully is that a comedian makes others laugh while a bully makes themselves laugh.

This episode is a good example as to why Pinkie is my favorite. Despite her mainly being remembered as a party pony, she's more than just a goofball, not being afraid to show worry, anger, and question her own behavior openly as well as the behavior of others. In my opinion, she is by far the most emotionally complex character in the entire show as well as one of the most understanding characters. She understands that laugher is best for uplifting and not for hiding negative feelings.
