Extended Thoughts:
In episode 39 we find that Steven comes to find out that Garnet can see different possibilities for the future. this causes him extreme anxiety because he's worried that if he makes a mistake that he could hurt himself or even die. I think this episode is an interesting take on how people handle anxiety. At least that's what I take from it. With someone like myself that also deals with a semblance of feeling anxious, and overwhelmed I do understand the feeling of worrying about every little thing.

What  stood out to me was the very end when Garnet said “Steven, I can see so many things that can hurt you oh, but I never wanted any of those things to be me.” That realization that she hurts even by accident is such a relatable feeling in life. that regret was palpable. It felt so grounded and I think it's heavily relatable that feeling of doing something that you think won't be bad but it ends up being terrible for someone else. Definitely a standout moment in the show.

Also, I have a new routine where I wake up quite early so hopefully I don't look too tired it's not because of the show trust me I'm just working really hard to stay healthy, and wake up earlier! Much Love SU fans  forgive any typos. I usually use speech to text.

Thank You All Private Hooman for making these reactions possible!

I love Garnet’s line here: “I see so many things that could hurt you. I should have never let one of them be me”. For almost all of season 1 Garnet is shrouded in mystery, but she is an extremely complex character once she starts to open up more. It’s both beautiful and sad that all se really wanted was to be closer to Steven. She cares about him so much and loves him so much, and she just wanted him to better understand her. It’s just a lot when you start thinking about it.

When a Gem shatters, they're effectively dead unless every piece is found, assembled and healed into a whole once more. Even Steven can't heal a shattering on his own. Horrifyingly enough, it's made clear that these shards still think at a basic level and yearn to be whole.

Oh if you go back to the Seaspire episode you can actually see an example of Garnet's future vision, she tells everyone to get back BEFORE the wall breaks and the path in front of them floods.
