this episode is very "high school". Then again, they are high school age. I will say this episode is probably the one that lays on the love triangle the thickest. That said, it's written better than a lot of shows I've seen. But it is really rough to get through when this kind of second-hand embarrassment gets to you.

I actually respect the writers for just going ahead and writing this really painful episode for the protagonists - It's a rough watch but it humanizes them a bit more.

I was nervous as I realized that would be the plot of this episode but I was pleasantly surprised! The writing is very good

I think it's where this show shine, it was made for teenagers but in a good way, it was made to help them to face issues they would otherwise face alone, and it's not ashamed to show "dark stuff" teenagers can live, but still staying hopefull, showing they can find their own way, trust in themselves, make mistakes and learn from them.

Agreed, the message was there but it wasn't overdone like a lot of shows tend to do. Well executed, in my opinion

I especially like the way they just had a conversation about it at the end. Apologies were made and accepted, and they carry on being friends. The relationships between all these characters is one of my favorite things about this series.
