Weekly Update - 12/16/19 (Patreon)

Alright, the votes are in and it looks like Mrs. Maywood was the winner with Monica and Suzie in a close second place. With that in mind, I'll be adding some new scenes with Mrs. Maywood in the next update, in addition to the ones I already had planned. 

For anyone disappointed that the character they voted on didn't win, don't worry: every character that got a vote has at least one scene in this update. 

Now that we're closer to the release, I can say that this release will be only one additional day (for two total), but it should be roughly the same size in scope as the first release. Aside from what I already described in the previous weekly update, here's what's getting added: 

Floor Meeting - Originally, this was going to be a quick scene with some dialogue trees for Jake and Kyle, but I couldn't help myself. Now there are Brown, Purple, and Green lights and Heather can optionally get involved in some of the paths. 

Movies with Maywoods - Originally, you could optionally bring Monica, but you'd end up sitting next to Brittany on your other side no matter what. Now, you can optionally sit next to the poll winner, Mrs. Maywood, and use the lights on her instead. 

Park with Monica - This has been expanded on quite a bit. Now you'll be able to visit the library and meet the librarian as well.

Walking Monica to Her Dorm - When walking Monica back to her dorm, Mrs. Maywood will now offer to drive you both. You'll then be able to optionally kick Monica out and spend time with Mrs. Maywood in the car instead. If you walk Monica, you'll find Blue, Pink, and Purple lights. If you stay with Mrs. Maywood, you'll find Orange, Pink, and Green lights. Staying in the parking lot will also allow you to potentially run into Karen Porter. 

Help Brittany Move In - When helping Brittany move in, there will now be additional scenes for going off into a side room to help Mrs. Maywood set stuff up instead. 

In addition to these content updates, here's what the changelog for this release is going to look like:

- Finally said "Karen Marion" out loud and realized how weird it sounds. Karen Porter and Emma Maywood have both had their maiden names changed.

- Made the "Check Phone" button in the sidebar a little brighter

- Adjusted how spell levels work. The first time you use a color now brings it up to level 1, with a max spell level of 10 (instead of 9). Unlocks have been adjusted by +1 each to match this. Players with active saves will see the new level displayed in their phone once they reach the start of Day 2.

- Starting from Day 2 onward, using the cheat function will give you max spell level for all colors. Max spell level will still be incompatible with revealed major/master spells until players could otherwise unlock them normally though. There's a notification at the start of Day 2 letting you know if this has been activated.

Also, a day or two before the 28th, I'd like to throw the release up for anyone here that's interested in testing it out for bugs. Given how many different paths and variables there are, it's hard for me to account for everything when I'm writing so I'm sure there will be some stuff to test and fix before I release it for everyone.
