Meanwhile, in posts that aren't student essays...

Here we are, Part 28. We're finally closing in to a point where I think I can see the way to the ending of THAL. (It is NOT this piece, so I don't shoot myself in the foot again with bad phrasing.) I know there is a lot of enthusiasm for additional pieces in this universe, and whether it's folks using their commission winnings or just me doing it on my own, I'm sure we're not Done done. In fact, I am sure there is way more to do with our cast, so they WILL be showing up in days to come. Anyway, for now, here's a thing.

We also have a very special treat this post. Fellow writer Somnophile, a.k.a Griz, whom you've probably seen around in some of the same spaces I occupy, did an awesome thing that he shared with us on the discord. We have, for the first time, some nifty digital imagery of most of our young cast, who should need no introduction. (If you saw his stuff on discord, this is newer and awesomer!) He's given me a few samples to work with, but so we have even more to look forward to, I'll post a couple here, and a couple more on the next post. If you're not familiar with him (or are, but want more), check out his page! Lots of good stuff over yonder. Support the good ones, yo.

Last but not least, after a little grace period, we're firming up basic expectations on discord (if you're not discordant (?), you're done with this post - go read/look!). It's pretty simple:
1) Don't be a butt - no politics, no religion, no personal attacks, no spam.
2) Spoiler tags are required where appropriate for 48 hours after a new story goes live.
3) Keep it in the right channel, so folks can follow and not follow as they prefer.

That's it! It's been lots of fun times so far, so keep it going.

"On the other side of the bed was a sort of triangular sixty-nine." I believe that is called an Isosceles Lock: http://achewood.com/index.php?date=05032004

Fantastic, fantastic chapter. The telescoped out A Wonderful Life Without Taylor sequence was cute and funny, destined to be someone's commission pick. The additional twists and clarifications (extra Serenex, why Taylor dosed Tabitha) were nice to get from Taylor's own mouth, so reined in by Serenex that we don't have to guess if she's playing us. That was, honestly, a good way to use Serenex for this chapter. I was afraid it'd be one-sided, with Canon dosing Taylor to finally get her honest feelings out, but I like it better that they're on a level playing field. The whole chapter's about establishing trust, or highlighting its absence, and that means there needs to be parity. That ending, though. Jesus! A dagger in my goddamn *heart*. It's fair, and it's honest, and it's deserved, Canon's final decision ("final" decision) to close the door on Taylor. He can't trust her. While she's somewhere between a lover and an obsession, she's not really a partner right now. But, man, that last line! That is a girl who used her words to land a fucking *knockout punch*! That is someone who can make an english teacher proud!

Glad Canon finally ditched the crazy, even it if was a long roundabout way of doing it. Also liked that we got to see more of Taylor's reasoning for why she chose Tabitha. That was actually pretty slick thinking. Now, the real question is what is Isa doing with Abby while she's under guard? If I had my pick of things, and I know it's totally off the wall, I'd like to see Isa give Abby some kind of command to be more dominating with her. Considering Isa's penchant for humiliation, wouldn't it be funny if she decided to humiliate herself by putting herself under Abby's thumb a little bit? Nothing major, nothing that'd get them into some weird relationship, because Isa still has a job and lover and all that. Not sure what it'd be or how it'd work, just a thought that popped into my head! Definitely looking forward to hearing more from the other folks involved. Candy and Isa stand out more than the rest because they're adults and had a relationship before this all happened. How they've transformed, and how they've dealt with it, could be a very interesting read.

I love that idea for Isa! Abbie writing "I Will Be Mean To Isa" a hundred times... very into that!
