But not really.

PG in the sense that these are all shots from my first two shoots with PG Photography. Over the years, I bet I've done something like...20+ shoots with Peter. He has been one of the most important people in my career, and really, my life because it was connections through him that brought me to Las Vegas almost 7 years ago.

I met Peter in 2010 I believe, when I'd driven from my hometown of Amarillo to Albuquerque, NM, which was about 4 hours west. I was still relatively new to the modeling world, but had gone out to Abq. to book some work. Peter was a photographer I'd been wanting to work with and he ended up booking me for a couple hours.

I loved his willingness to have fun and be creative and I loved that he seemed excited about working together. Most photographers back then seemed "excited" I guess, but not necessarily from  a good place. I was never ignorant to the fact that a lot of these guys literally just booked me for my willingness to be naked; I simply chose to see it as a sort of stripping outside of the strip club, minus the lap dances. That being said, to be booked by a photographer whose work I respected and who wasn't booking me for some half-assed shoot was a huge deal for me, especially when I was still young in my career.

It's so funny looking back at these older photos and seeing what kind of wardrobe I brought, the makeup and hair I chose to do, and even my expressions and posing. I used to get so critical, but I'm learning to just see it as my growing into who I am now. I still have a lot of the wardrobe in these photos!

Clearly these next shots were around the Lady Gaga "Poker Face" period. lol

A friend of mine bought me these bright green shoes just because and it's one of the nicest things anyone did for me. We weren't particularly close, but I really treasured these Bordello brand heels. That brand was ALL the rage in the alt and pinup model communities for many years.

I could share a lot of stories about shoot with Peter, but I have LOTS more to share from the last 10...omg...I just realized I've been working with him for TEN YEARS. So many more stories will come. Aside from the modeling work, Peter also gave me the opportunity to build up my portfolio as a makeup artist, hair stylist, and photographer. I modeled for many of the photography workshops he hosted, which allowed me to learn as he taught the other photographers. Doing makeup for him not only helped me make money eventually, but it helped me network with models who were further along in their careers and even led to my friendship with Cervena Fox, who helped my modeling career immensely.

I know this isn't a traditional photoset, with all photos being in the same theme, but I hope you enjoy it nonetheless!

Let's end off with my Peg Bundy shot.  I remember someone making that comment before I knew who she was ( Don't forget, I was very sheltered growing up and couldn't watch much TV!) and I was somewhat offended because it sounded like a bad thing. Now that I know who she is and how incredible she always looked I'm all for that comparison!
