Demon of Lust in the Land of Water
Chapter 19

-VB-

“Hokage-dono!”

Hiruzen paused and turned around. Today was the third day of this meet and greet between the Fire court and the Mizukage.

This was the first time, however, the two kages of their respective hidden villages talked to each other in private in a smaller courtyard away from the rest of the party.

“Godaime Mizukage-dono,” Hiruzen nodded to the younger man. “It’s a pleasure to meet you.”

“It is a pleasure to meet you as well,” the young man smiled genuinely (then again, they were ninjas and faux sincerely was well within their capabilities, so Hiruzen wasn’t going to trust something like a mere body language). “I have been meaning to talk with you, but I think the Fire Daimyo was a little bit too happy with my gifts.”

Hiruzen chuckled.

Indeed, the Fire Daimyo appreciated the Mizukage more than he did his own Hokage. This was to be expected because the Fire Daimyo was not the most powerful player in the Land of Fire; that unofficial place belonged to the Hokage. This was not the case in the Land of Water, so the Mizukage would have naturally prepared to greet the Fire Daimyo, a peer of the man’s own lord, with the respect the islanders gave their daimyo.

Hiruzen wondered when he last gave the Fire Daimyo the traditional visit for ceremonial or even official purposes.

“I find myself curious,” he admitted. “Normally, a kage would not travel to another land so freely, but you have the courage to do so. Why is that?”

The Mizukage blinked before-.

Before-.

Before-?

Before-?!

He blinked.

Wait.

Hiruzen pulled his hands up to his face and froze.

His hands. They weren’t his hands. No, they were his hands. He remembered that scar on his pinky. The scar looked less wrinkled and fresher. He slowly twisted his hand around. It even felt younger.

“What a fine genjutsu… but I hope you know what attacking a kage with a jutsu means,” he asked coldly.

“What genjutsu, Hokage-dono?” the man asked mirthfully. “Do you not like my gift?”

“Gift-?”

“Youth returned to the most powerful ninja of this land. A gift from Kirigakure to Konohagakure. Ask your ANBU if they sense any genjutsu.”

Almost immediately nine ANBU dropped out of the shadows, six in a circle around the Mizukage and the other three between the Hokage and the Mizukage. He met the stare of the Mizukage, who still stood with a carefree smile as if he wasn’t surrounded with weapons pointed at him.

“Shush. Step aside before I turn all of you into children. Can you imagine losing all of your muscle memories and being stuck as a toddler?” the Mizukage joked.

“Undo whatever jutsu you performed on the Hokage,” Rat demanded with a curt snap.

“But his student is trying to kill him. Being old won’t help Hokage-dono,” the man complained as if he wasn’t risking war. “I mean, the Fire Daimyo really liked my treatment. You might have noticed that he and his wife came to today’s morning party with masks on?”

Hiruzen thought that had been odd for the Fire Daimyo to show up like that, but if it was because of the Mizukage, then he had allowed a foreign ninja to affect his nominal liege; this was a disgrace for Konohagaure.

“Hokage-dono.”

And suddenly, he felt his joints(no longer old?) freeze up.

All of his ANBUs froze where they stood.

“Your student is trying to kill you, and I’ve had to stop one of his associates already. Please don’t make me do more work then I have to,” he said before he reached into his robes and pulled out-.

A beheaded head bounced and tumbled. It rolled to a stop, and Hiruzen saw a twisted face, and then his eyes widened when he saw the Sharingan and a face he recognized.

“Uchiha Obito…?” It was older but it was definitely the happy go lucky boy who… who should be dead.

“Technically speaking, I could have declared war on you simply for the fact that a missing-nin from Konohagakure was behind the Yondaime Mizukage’s Bloody Mist,” Mizukage hummed as if he was discussing the weather. “But that would be a shame, right? War won’t help my fellow worshippers freely travel to preach and enjoy the world, right?”

This was a threat.

Regardless of the fact that Hokage was not responsible nor aware of Uchiha Obito’s actions, the man was a Konoha-nin who supposedly died in the line of duty.

Supposedly.

He could deny this, and he would, but the Mizukage use this as an excuse to make demands. Of course, Konohagakure and the Land of Fire would refuse, but a rumor about Konoha sending spies to mind control the leaders of hidden villages with evidence and personal backing of a kage?

Hiruzen wouldn’t be surprised if a coalition formed because of this.

“You can’t expect me to believe that this is a ninja of Konohagakure.”

“No, and I know that he was operating independently.”

Hiruzen narrowed his eyes. Why was he not using this? Where was the advantage in simply admitting that he had less hold over Konohagakure than he would gain by lying or even ignoring the truth?

“Because I want to be friends.”

He blinked.

“Also, if I was your friend, then I might get into your village and bang some MILFs.”

… Seriously?

“I mean, it would be kind of a dick to disguise myself and trick everyone if I chose to visit Konoha anonymously, especially since I would definitely be fucking some big titty MILFs.”

What?

“I mean have you seen your ninjas, Hokage-dono?! You have some of the most beautiful, big titty-!”

A ninja jumped out of the shadows and slapped the back of Mizukage’s head and then disappeared back into the shadows.

Mizukage grumbled, and then cleared his throat. “... Officially, I would be preaching the good word of my goddess Aphrodite.”

Hiruzen noted a third of the ANBU looking at the Mizukage with pure disdain and disgust.

And then Hiruzen realized something.

The Mizukage.

He expected to encounter a politically astute peer.

No.

The Godaime Mizukage was an insane ninjas like Guy and Kakashi who became a kage, who had very good taste in women. The man could be faking it, but he doubted it. This was, after all, in the private. There was no need to fool people here.

Oh, he would keep an eye on this miscreant, but so far, he didn’t seem to harbor any ill intent towards him, Konohagakure, or the Land of Fire.

… Seriously, what the fuck happened in Kirigakure?

I watched the Hokage and his ANBUs leave and let out a sigh of relief internally.

I managed to fool the man.

“You okay?”

From my shadow, my own ANBU rose up.

“Yes, but I do not go to Konohagakure just to have sex with new women,” Obito Uchiha growled. “And I swear if you sleep with my mother-”

“I will gladly call you my son.”

He kicked the back of my knee.

See, when I found Uchiha Obito, I decided to use my godly powers for something productive. Instead of killing him, I twisted his emotions and changed them. He no longer felt wrathful against Kirigakure; held no feelings for Konoha beyond Hatake Kakashi, the deceased Yondaime, and his family; and made him loyal to me.

I kept most of his original personality but also made him feel open and comfortable with me.

Why?

Because Uchiha Obito was a wonderful agent to have on my side.

I was just amazed that Hiruzen fell for that fake head, even though I would admit that it was basically no different than Obito’s actual.

Well, I achieved the last of the goals I came to the Fire court for. It’s time to travel around the Land of Fire~.

A/N: how many of you thought that I actually killed Obito?

Nah, he's a reality twisting eldritch being. I figured it was a fake head.

Gabriel510

It was pretty much implied from how he brought Rin's soul and body back that he was going to recruit Obito.
