October Update #1 - Sky Dominion (Patreon)

Hello, it is time for the first of the October updates. The first of the two sets we reveal is the "Sky Dominion" set. It will contain a mix of different Flying and Angelic models. Please enjoy!

Balloon Air Ship - Humankind always dreamed of exploring the skies above and with this ship, you can!

Sky Dog - A winged canine that is the favorite pet of many celestial beings!

Bird Folk Falcon - The skies belong to the birds and the Bird Folk will do everything to keep it that way.

Revealed 7 of ~80 new October models. More to be shown soon.

Small request, the last model, the one shooting the bow, can we get a little more of a footprint to attach to the base, as of that pic it only has the one talon that looks like it touches the base. Love the set so far, can't wait to see the rest!

Thank you Dustin, that last bird folk pose is meant to be glued on a rock or some other decoration. We made it this way so that you can height of the rock/decoration yourself.

Thank you for your kind words Connor. I like the idea of humanoid pterodactyl, but sadly it is to late for this set. I will keep it in mind for future sets though.

Is there any way you could include whole hemispheres on that balloon? My Delta can handle that job!

Hello Robb, if you mean a Balloon that is not hollow, we will include that also. It is only recommended for FDM though. 😃

Concerning the last model, Is there a reason the character is not looking in the direction of their shot?

It is a combination between angle and weird bird head anatomy. This is how it looks like when you look at him from another angle: https://i.imgur.com/b62E06T.png He is looking with one eye basically.

Just a thought with the Balloon - I know that Dragon Trappers Lodge did a similar sort of design of a balloon held up by resin like that and they have had to re-work it as they found that the resins don't provide a strong enough support under the body of the balloon. You could more easily achieve it by adding more guide ropes around the balloon and such

Thank you for the notice. Just googled their design and it look like they only made the balloon part hold up by thin ropes. We have a mast in the middle that holds the balloon up and also the side sails. Hopefully that will be enough to hold up an hollow balloon.

Nice that you noticed. Those things on the wings are added by the owners to prevent the dog from closing its wings completely. These rare dogs are regarded as status symbols for their owners, especially those with big wings. So it is in their interest to showcase those wings. The dog may or may not suffer from this, depending on what kind of story the DM wants to tell. 😉
