Hello, it is time to decide Decembers models. I got many requests since the last poll so I will include them as well as some of my own ideas.

Lovecraftian Horror Set - This Set would include some exotic Lovecraftian monsters and some classic ones as well.

Accurate Angel Set - You know, the angels with the eyes, heads and wings everywhere. We would throw in some demons for good measure.

Constructs Set - Basically machine monstrosities. We will try to keep it as fantasy themed as we can. A construct dragon could be possible for example.

Egyptian / Desert Set - Mummies, Pharaohs, Giant Scarabs and Scorpions, Sphinx, you know the drill. Genies, Genasi and other Arabic influenced stuff can appear as well. Think of "Aladdin".

Asian Theme Set - You want Samurai, Ninjas,  Dragon Turtle and other awesome stuff from the Asian mythology? This is the set for you then. We will definitely get some inspiration from "The Journey to the West".

Camelot Set - Welcome to the lands of King Arthur Pendragon, the son of Uther Pendragon. The epic wizard Merlin and the Knights of the Round Table await you in this set. And of curse there is "Morgan le Fay" and "Mordred" as antagonists.

Rome / Greek Set - Do you want to fight Roman Legions and monsters from the Greek/Roman mythology? You want to have your own chariot? You want to be a gladiator and fight in the colosseum for honor and glory? Then you know what to vote for.

So I think this is it for now. The Sets that didn't win will be included in the next poll with new additions. You can always suggest more themes in the comments. This poll ends at the end of the month. Thank you for your support!

Oh my God I'm so hyped you guys are actually consodering the Accurate Angel suggestion!

Accurate angels would be so damn cool! Check out Kill Six Billion Demons' angels, that webcomic has a bunch of examples.

I love the accurate angel theme. I’m always up for lovecraftian horrors, and while I’m not super hyped for ninjas and samurai, I love the thought of the Journey to the west theme.

Glitterwolf

I voted for Egypt but I will be happy with either one, Roman or Asian sound awesome as well. Whatever you do I will be looking forward to it.

epic_miniatures

I love the the Journey to the west. So much inspirational stuff in there. I am actually surprised the Asian theme is last currently.

epic_miniatures

Yeah I thought the Roman and Asian options would be more popular. Looks like I was wrong about that. 🤣

Glitterwolf

I collect Undead, Egyptian and Gothic style, Asian, Greek and Roman and Aztec/Lizardman stuff mostly. But I like most fantasy. The Lovecraft Cthulhu doesn't appeal to me. Camelot is too much generic knights for me. Angels, well one can always paint them as fallen angels and let them join the evil forces. Constructs depend on what they are. So far I like your style, I will see what you come up with.

Glitterwolf

Other ideas: Elephant/Rhino/Hippo Men and tribal warriors from Africa? Multi-armed gods from India and Mariliths. Baboons and Gorillas, some armed. Maybe Dinomen. Ghosts and living scarecrows, Insectmen and large wasps, ants, beetles etc.

If Lovecraft wins, I will try to stay faithful to the source material. I am a great fan of Hastur for example. The King in Yellow will definitely be featured. 😃

epic_miniatures

Lovecraft has more then Cthulhu and I plan to explore the unexplored. Many of those monsters can be repurposed too I think.

epic_miniatures

Amazing ideas. I will consider them on my next poll. And on the Ghost part, you will get some awesome ones with the next release. 😃

Lovecraftian entities are always useful regardless of what tabletop game one is playing and would love to see Epic's take on them. The angels concept is also interesting and could create some awesome scenarios. Also digging the far eastern theme, but that's on a personal level bias as I always wanted to run a campaign with an Oni stalking a bloodline or something following one of the far east's various other original myth and folklore concepts. Great ideas to pick from here all across the board. No matter what wins, we all win.

Lovecraft has/is being done by a few other artists lately. Vote for Egyptian or Asian!!!

I'm currently writing a Lovecraftian themed campaign, that set would be absolutely perfect!

epic_miniatures

I am really surprised how bad the Asian theme is doing. I need a better name for it for the next poll I guess. And you are right about the Lovecraft entities. Even DnD did get inspiration from them.

Glitterwolf

If you make the Angels, please do a few batwing options as well, that way they can be turned into fallen angels or even succubi?

epic_miniatures

If Lovecraft wins, I will definitely try to make something different then your usual Cthulhu. Hastur is really tempting. 😃

Glitterwolf

It looks like Lovecraft is going to win. Some monsters from those stories can be used in undead or Demon/Chaos Armies perhaps? Nightgaunts, Hounds of Tindalos, Shantak, Spider of Leng come to mind.

I'm currently writing up a world full of CONSTRUCTS for my campaign. I've been looking for a good set to use as inspiration for the machines that enhabit this world. Alternatively, what about a CYBORG theme? Existing creatures with construct body parts.

epic_miniatures

Yes already thought about Nightgaunts. And they worship "Nodens", basically an evil looking Poseidon.

epic_miniatures

Cyborgs go to much into the sci-fi terrain in my opinion. I have some ideas for constructs though. 😃
