Hello, strange and wonderful patrons,

In this Atelier Barbette series, I've used my psychological tentacles to gather together alllll the terabytes of studio footage from Fall & Winter 2022 to create the tasty tidbit before you.

I present to you: your top-secret mini-Barbette-vlog #3!

I dug into the Barbette "Version 1.0" writings and found TWO that I think are particularly fun and relevant to peek at if you'd like some more material related to this episode!

There's "The Shape of It: Part 3" and "The Shape of It: Part 4" (August 18th and 19th, 2021): the earliest drawings of my dress concept, and then the drawing and finalized design that costumer Michael Slack managed to craft from my doodlings;

And there's "The Dress: in Progress" (August 24th, 2021):  A fitting in Montréal with designer Michael Slack and seamstress Marianne Thibeault) where we got to behold the magnificence of this giant flouncy dress for the first time, brought to life off the page!

You can look forward to your next top-secret-Barbette-vlog instalment on Friday, at 12pm EST.

Until then, stay strange & wonderful!
XO Ess

Hm. Do you realize that this post is under 200 written words. You, ok, Ess? I am a little concerned... ;-) Needless to say, the video blog did deliver and some. This is just… fascinating to follow along!

I’m so glad you’re enjoying them, Jerome! Yes, I know, the brevity is … shockingly out of character 🤣 Gotta keep you guessing! 😉

It’s visually stunning when you were doing the spins with the whole gear, the bell thingy and the fabric. Excited to see the next vlog of your progress. All the best!
